Tia Carrere Wants Divorce From Husband. “Wayne’s World” star Tia Carrere has filed for divorce from her husband Simon Wakelin. The 43-year-old actress has been married to the photo journalist for seven years. Carrere apparently filed the papers in person at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, according to TMZ. She cited irreconcilable differences as reason for the split. She wants sole physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter Bianca. Her divorce papers show they have a prenuptial agreement. The couple married in November 2002. This is Carrere’s second marriage. She was previously married to “Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000” producer Elie Samaha from 1992 to 2000.
