The Wendy Williams Show Is Back; Kicks Off On Labor Day. The Wendy Williams Show has been renewed for a second season. The show will premiere on Labor Day, Monday, September 6. Filmed live in New York, The Wendy Williams Show covers a mix of hot topics, celebrity news and interviews, fashion, cooking and real-life advice with a wide range of guests in addition to a bit of ridiculousness that audiences have come to expect from host Wendy Williams – and that some other show hosts make fun of her for, for example, Joel McHale of E!’s The Soup. Also new for the second season is a brand new sophisticated studio setting, allowing viewers to see the show from a new perspective as Wendy will continue to interview celebrity guests while overlooking the New York City skyline. To launch into its second season, Williams has already scheduled a bevy of intriguing celebrity guests. For the premiere of the show on Monday, The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice stop by to dish about the reunion show and tell Williams where they stand with castmate Danielle Staub. Sean Kingston will also be there to perform his new single, ‘Letting Go,’ live.On Tuesday, Let’s Make A Deal host Wayne Brady stops by to chat about the hit CBS game show, and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton chats about the latest in celebrity news. The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir stop by to perform a very special song for Wendy. On Wednesday, True Blood star Rutina Wesley stops by to dish on the hit Emmy-Award winning HBO series and E!’s movie guru Ben Lyons stops by to chat about the most highly anticipated movie premieres for this fall. Australian author and youngest person to sail solo around the world, Jessica Watson, stops by to discuss her incredible journey and her new book “True Spirit,” on Thursday. Rounding out her premiere week, American Idol winner and Grammy-Award nominated R&B singer Fantasia Barrino chats about her recent struggles and will perform her new single “I’m Doin’ Me,” live on Friday.
