The Cast Of “Glee” Talk Upcoming Britney Spears Episode. The cast of “Glee” are currently filming the show’s second season and they can’t stop talking about the upcoming tribute to Britney Spears, which they’re saying is “hilarious.” Spears, who many of the young cast members call their generation’s Madonna, is inspiring the second episode of the show’s upcoming sophomore season. Airing September 28th , the episode will feature recreations of some of Spears’ iconic videos. “I’m recreating a Britney Spears video,” Lea Michele, who plays Rachel on the show, told Extra. “I can’t say what it is but if you could imagine Rachel doing any of Britney Spears, it’s a little off. But it’s happening. I just read the script last night and it’s hilarious.” There’s going to be about six Spears songs featured. While they haven’t officially been revealed, “..Baby One More Time” is likely to be among the numbers set in the high school. Michele also reveals that similar to “What It Feels Like for a Girl” in the “Power of Madonna” episode and soundtrack the guys will also take on one of Spears’ classic tracks. While the entire cast is looking forward to paying tribute to their idol, Matthew Morrison made his reservations about the idea clear earlier in the year. His character, Will Schuester, is also anti-Britney on the episode. But on the episode titled “Britney/Brittany,” “Glee” is also going to spotlight their own Brittany on the episode, played by Heather Morris. The one-liner-filled Cheerio is a huge Spears fan and gets her to chance to shine on the episode, performing one of Spears’ classic tracks. “I love Britney,” Morris told Extra. “She was our generation, all of her dance, her videos, her music. It’s going to be so fun to do, to recreate.”
