Interpol, The Kooks, White Lies and You Me At Six for Coke Live Music Festival 2011

The Kooks,
Though we still remember the great Coke Live Festival 2010 gigs, it’s time to introduce part of this year’s lineup. We are pleased to announce that the 6th edition of the Coke Live Music Festival will take place in the Aviation Museum ground in Krakow on the 19th and 20th of August 2011. Today’s announcement is a full Main Stage line-up for the first festival day.
After dark, with their black suits the long-awaited Interpol will appear. This NYC band has a cult status in Poland since the release of the debut album ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’. With their new material, from last year’s self-titled album, and indie-rock-classics such a ‘PDA’ or ‘Slow Hands’ Paul Banks and Co. will thrill the audience at 11 pm.
Two hours earlier on Main Stage will be The Kooks. They are currently recording a follow-up to their Number One UK Album ‘ ‘Konk’. The Kooks, with their pop-folk-indie hymns, will be this, what Coke Live Music Festival fans have been waiting for.
Another band in the line-up is White Lies. Their new album ‘Ritual’ confirms that London-based trio wasn’t one-season star. There is also, no other English team, who within three years conquered the Polish market in such a successful way. White Lies will be performing at 7pm.
You Me At Six playing on the Main Stage will start to perform half an hour earlier, than the band’s name suggest. They released two good-received albums and now working on a third. Group will come to Poland for the very first time and their performance at Coke Live Music Festival will be a perfect chance to listen to the new songs.
New rock music channel LAVA to launch

Deaf Havana
New rock music channel LAVA launches 29 March 2010 on SKY 378, providing a platform for young rock and indie musicians. This is the latest venture from Mushroom TV, the production company behind Channel AKA (formerly Channel U), who are aiming to repeat the success of AKA within a new genre. LAVA will cover all rock sub-genres from Heavy Metal & Punk Rock to Grunge, Indie Rock and & Nu Metal and features unsigned acts from around the UK such as Deaf Havana, You Me At Six and Enter Shikari alongside classic and brand new Rock music. The motivation behind the launch is to uncover unsigned talent from the rock scene, before anyone else. Channel AKA helped to launch the careers of triple award winners and platinum selling Grime artists N-Dubz; Number 1 artist Tinchy Stryder; MOBO winner Chipmunk, and Mercury prize winner and Number 1 artist Dizzee Rascal to name but a few. AKA has been the first and only station to broadcast many up & coming Grime artists on music television, offering an opportunity to build a UK-wide fan base and to help bring them to the attention of record labels and artist management. AKA has also given many presenters a starting point for their future success, before he joined MTV to host the British version of Pimp My Ride, Tim Westwood had a show on Channel AKA, Radio 1 D.J’s Ace & Vis begun their media journey by hosting The Illout Show and MTV’s Scottie B had his TV debut with The Channel U Christmas Special. The Channel AKA and Lava formats allow the viewer to be in full control of the play list via a voting system, meaning that you only have to see the videos that you want to see.
