Black Eyed Peas member Taboo launched his own line of sneakers in collaboration with the Asian-based high-end sneaker company Jump to put your feet into future. Together, Taboo and Jump created a line that doesn’t only work for looks both day and night, but for performing on-stage in front of thousands (Taboo rocked his own line during their sold-out “E.N.D.” World Tour). Available in red, grey, navy, and black, it’s hard to pick just one. But at $74.99, it’s not a bad price to help start a collection. Justin Timberlake Unveils Latest William Rast Collection
Justin Timberlake Unveils Latest William Rast Collection At New York Fashion Week. Justin Timberlake and childhood pal and creative director Trace Ayala revealed the latest William Rast collection at New York Fashion Week. This time, Timberlake brought sexy in the form of military-inspired and modern twists on classic American looks. The duo didn’t go for groundbreaking in their pieces, which included denim and bomber jackets, cargo pants, and classic coats. But the collection, which they called an ode to “New America” complete with Hendrix’s version of “Star Spangled Banner” played by the house band, showcased a real flare for styling. The Midwest-inspired collection of ready-to-wear looks even featured fur tails as accents.
The most impressive looks came in the form of leather, which was used frequently in the new collection. A black leather bustier was a highlight and looked ready for Fergie to rock on stage or on a red carpet. A women’s gray leather jacket with black sleeves was one of the more interesting designs as well.
For men, jackets and coats dominated, but the duo somehow managed to work in the puffy shirt in both black and white, which might not be so offensive when covered by the jackets in the collections, but are otherwise better suited to pirates and medieval vampires.
Among the A-listers who looked on at the New York Fashion Week show were Timberlake’s girlfriend Jessica Biel, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and Gerard Butler.
