Cheryl Cole’s career seems to be going from strength to strength and in October she will be headlining her first ever UK tour ‘A Million Lights’!
Her latest track ‘Call My Name’ written and produced by Calvin Harris is the fastest selling single of 2012 and has launched her back into the music spotlight.
Serving up a decent dose of pop, her third album ‘A Million Lights’ has an impressive list of producers and artists on it including Britney hitmaker Jim Beanz and friend and mentor will.i.am. If that wasn’t enough, Lana Del Rey penned her track ‘Ghetto Baby’ and Wretch 32 collaborated with her on my personal favourite ‘Screw You’.

Hailing from Essex and Cambridge, Twenty Twenty are lead singer and guitarist Sam Halliday, his brother bassist Jack Halliday and drummer Sonny Watson-Lang. The band formed in early 2009 after Sonny agreed to play drums with the Halliday brothers.
Since then the trio have steadily created an incredible buzz prior to their major label signing. Honing their craft playing live shows with the likes of JLS, McFly, Selena Gomez and The Sugababes and touring the UK on their own headline sold-out tours throughout 2010, they amassed a huge fan base along the way.
Their independently released ‘Get Down Live With Twenty Twenty’ DVD sensationally reached No.4 in the UK’s music DVD charts, behind only the likes of U2 and Michael Jackson.
Now with major label support in the shape of Geffen, Twenty Twenty will release their new single ‘Love To Life’ on 17th April followed by a mini album in late April. Written by the band and produced by Julian Emery (McFly, Simple Plan, Lissie), ‘Love To Life’ is an infectious cocktail of rock and pop featuring an indelible melody, an anthemic sing-along chorus and soaring guitar riffs, while the lyrics reveal the excitement of feeling love for the first time.

The Charlatans prepare to release their new single ‘Your Pure Soul’. Following the success of the release of their eleventh album and a sold-out UK tour, The Charlatans prepare to release their new single ‘Your Pure Soul’. The track will be released on November 29th 2011 on Frink Recordings through Cooking Vinyl. Despite proving to be a tough year for the band – drummer Jon Brookes collapsed on stage during a gig on tour in the US and was subsequently diagnosed with a brain tumour – The Charlatans have again found the strength to carry on and keep doing what they do best, making and playing music. ‘Your Pure Soul’ is taken from their Youth produced eleventh studio album ‘Who We Touch’, released in September this year. During the summer festivals and the band’s own UK dates the track proved to be a live favourite. The Charlatansare currently on tour in Australia and the Far East with The Verve’s Pete Salisbury as temporary replacement for Jon whilst he undergoes treatment. More UK dates are currently being planned, details to be announced soon.
James Blunt announces tour dates. James Blunt, one of the true highlights of the recent Help For Heroes live show at Twickenham, will embark on a headline UK tour in February and March 2011. The new album was produced by Steve Robson (with co production by Greg Kurstin and Eg White) and sees the five times Grammy nominee start another chapter in his musical career with a sense of freshness and spontaneity pervading the whole record. However, much as he loves making new music, for Blunt the ultimate joy comes from playing the songs live and sharing them with an audience. “Put the album out and put me out on the road” he says. “Get me on tour and we’re going to have the time of our lives doing these songs”

Florence & the Machine release new single ‘Hurricane Love’. Lungs became one of the biggest selling debut albums of 2009 and is now double platinum (600k+ sales) but Florence’s reign on the UK alternative pop scene continues apace into 2010. After a stint in the studio early in the year, there then follows a jaunt across the globe to Australia, Japan and back to Europe on tour in late January and February. Spring will bear witness to further American shows, the Miami Winter Music Conference, a bigger and better UK tour and back to sunny Palm Springs for Coachella at the end of April. ‘Hurricane Love’ is a passionate ode to losing someone you love and braving the powerful and confusing emotions of seeing them out with another, when your feelings for them are still very much still alive:
‘I’m going out, I’m gonna drink myself to death,
and in the crowd, I see you with someone else
I brace myself coz I know it’s gonna hurt
But I’d like to think, at least things can’t get any worse’
The video for ‘Hurricane…’ is being shot in Paris and a number of exciting mixes are in the pipeline to rival the all-conquering xx remix of current single ‘You’ve Got The Love’.
