Adele and Bullet For My Valentine line-up for Radio 1′s Festive Festival 2010. Nick Grimshaw announces the line up for Radio 1′s Festive Festival 2010. BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw has announced the line up for Radio 1′s annual Festive Festival returning again to the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios, Monday 20th December. The artists confirmed for the festive celebrations are: Adele, Bullet For My Valentine James Blake, Katy B, Wretch 32, The Vaccines and Yuck. Each act is set to perform three live tracks from the studios between 7-10pm. For the last hour from 10pm, Radio 1 DJs Toddla T, Benji B and Jaymo and Andy George take over with special mixes to get listeners into the party spirit. Hosted by Zane Lowe and Nick Grimshaw, Radio 1′s Festive Festival will be broadcast live 7pm- 11pm.2011′s FF line-up continues Radio 1′s tradition of bringing together a mix of established acts and rising stars tipped for big things in 2011. Previous years have featured performances from: Plan B, The Hoosiers, Kate Nash Glasvegas, Marina and The Diamonds, The XX, Chipmunk, Mumford and Sons, Florence and the machine, Friendly Fires and Chase & Status.
Mystery Jets join Somerset House line-up. The courtyard of Somerset House has played host to an inspirational line-up for the past eight years, and 2010’s season will be no exception. This year, London’s premiere open air venue have invited Air, Corinne Bailey Rae, Florence + The Machine, Mystery Jets, N-Dubz, Noah & the Whale, Soul II Soul, The Temper Trap, and The xx to headline, with a further announcement of headliners and supports to be made very soon. Tickets go on sale on the 26th March. This year’s programme brings together five different musical strands of young London; Camberwell’s Florence, Twickenham’s Mystery Jets and Noah & The Whale, Camden’s N-Dubz, and Wandsworth’s The xx. The Series finale is a rare live outing from London legends Soul II Soul, celebrating the 21 year anniversary of the seminal ‘Club Classics Vol.1’. In addition, N-Dubz’s headline show will feature special guests and collaborations, and open with a performance by a group of young, breaking artists from across London who will have taken part in the What Next workshop programme run by Somerset House in association with Bigga Fish and Metropolis Music. On 24th and 25th April, the Gaymers Camden Crawl will play host to over a mile and a half of fantastic new talent for over thirty hours across more than forty venues including the legendary Koko hosted by headline sponsors Gaymers.
As well as its customary stellar line up of live music acts, the festival will feature a vast array of interactive daytime activities and cutting edge performances across the arts, including visual art, comedy, spoken word, theatre and much more.
The programme kicks off from midday on Friday the 24th until the wee hours of the following Sunday. Upon arrival each ticket holder will be presented with an all-access wristband, programme guide, timetable and free download album to help plot his/her day’s adventure. ‘Crawlers’ are granted unlimited access to all official festival venues featuring more than 150 live artists, daytime activities & arts programme and aftershow parties capacity permitting. In keeping with Crawl tradition and the spirit of discovery, the full line-ups and stage times remain a closely guarded secret until each night and surprise guests may appear at any time and at any venue.
