Taylor Swift And Jake Gyllenhaal End Brief Romance. Can we now expect a song about Jake Gyllenhaal to be released soon? Taylor Swift and the “Love and Other Drugs” star have reportedly ended their short-lived romance.
But unlike with other ex-boyfriends, the singer apparently didn’t have bitter feelings towards Jake.A source told People magazine, “They’re over. It ended last month.”There was no reason given for the split. Jake and Taylor, who apparently started their romance in October, were last seen in public together on December 9. They then spent their birthdays (December 13th for Taylor and 19th for Jake) apart. They weren’t also together during the holidays. And with another boyfriend down, it seems almost certain that Taylor will be releasing a song about how her brief relationship with Jake went down.

Taylor Swift’s dad sells her T’shirts at her shows.The 21-year-old country singer’s father Scott is her biggest fan and likes to be heavily involved at her concerts to show his support for his famous daughter. Taylor explained: ‘My dad is adorably optimistic, positive, pie-in-the-sky. He thinks every new song I write is my best. He sells T-shirts at my merchandise stands and hands out guitar picks to fans.’ Many fans have met Scott while at Taylor’s shows, and said how friendly he is. One US fan, Emily, told how she met the former stockbroker at a concert in Washington DC. She wrote on a fan site in June this year: ‘ got pit passes and met Scott (Taylor’s dad for anyone unaware) He came out and gave us guitar picks then my friend and I talked to him for a minute or two by the soundbooth during ‘Hey Stephen’. ‘ was so close to hugging Taylor but she had to turn around and go the other way to get back to the actual stage. But I touched her hand at one point during the show. And she looked right at me during ‘Fifteen’ on the moving stage.’
Taylor also told how she takes elements of her mother’s personality into her onstage persona too.
She said: ‘Mom is a planner, an organiser. She’s very strong and practical. She’s the person that’ll tell me if I ever start to change my personality. The balance of the two of them created my personality.’

Taylor Swift and Susan Boyle outsell Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson officially sold 228,000 copies of the new album Michael, a relatively impressive total in the current marketplace but not enough to beat out Taylor Swift or Susan Boyle. Jackson opens at number three on the Album chart that will be published tomorrow. Swift moves back to number 1 with sales of 259,000 copies while Boyle drops to number 2 with 254,000. Michael fails to get first week sales as strong as the This Is It soundtrack from last year which opened at number 1 with 373,000 copies sold. That album, however, was essentially a greatest hits set that also came out during the huge sales spike after Jackson’s death. Album sales for the week were 12.5 million units, up just 3% from last week. Sales for the year are at 303.94 million, down 13% from the same period in 2009.
