Gorillaz reveal new track 'Doncamatic' featuring Daley
Gorillaz reveal new track ‘Doncamatic’ featuring Daley. Fresh out of the studio comes ‘Doncamatic’, a brand spanking new track from Gorillaz featuring Daley. Recorded just a few weeks ago, Gorillaz were so excited about this stunning new cut, they wanted to unleash it onto the world as soon as humanly possible! All bouncing beats, deep funk grooves and sumptuous soothing vocals (courtesy of hot new British talent Daley), this track just makes you want to move. And in case you’re wondering; inspiration for the track and the title comes from The Donca Matic – the groundbreaking Japanese-designed drum machine which started the Korg Musical Instrument Company in 1963! Gorillaz critically acclaimed latest album, ‘Plastic Beach’, (featuring collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Kano, Little Dragon and Mos Def to name but a few) has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide and for the first time ever, the real-life Gorillaz band are taking their show on the road. The world tour is currently storming the USA, with dates to follow in Europe and the UK (London, Manchester, Birmingham & Brighton all in November) before heading off to Australia via Hong Kong.

Far East Movement Kicks Off Their “Up In The Air” Tour

Far East Movement
Far East Movement Kicks Off Their “Up In The Air” Tour. Far East Movement, a band also known by the name of just FM, will kick off their “Up In The Air” tour on September 13th in Anaheim, CA with Mike Posner. The group’s first single “Like A G6″ is currently #12 overall on iTunes Top Songs and #5 on iTunes Top Pop Songs. The song is also still climbing on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart(last placed at #41) and is #25 on the country’s digital song sales chart. FM’s members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J Splif and DJ Virman started the band in Los Angeles where they’ve already had a #1 song at radio with the hit “Girls On The Dance Floor.” Their music bridges the gap between underground club and mainstream hip-hop and pop music. They’ve coined the term ‘Free Wired’ to describe their lifestyle and sound that blends elements of Hip-Hop, Pop, Electro and Dance. “We want people at our shows to feel free to let loose and ‘geek out’ however the feel comfortable. Our music and lifestyle is about making sure everyone is having a good time,” states Kev Nish. Far East Movement have already taken the Los Angeles club scene global; they’ve already done two world tours, including recent stints with Lady Gaga, N*E*R*D, Robyn/Kelis and LMFAO. The ‘Free Wired’ debut album will also feature appearances from Ryan Tedder, Snoop Dogg, Keri Hilson, Pitbull and Lil’ Jon.
Katy Perry To Edit Beach Boys Reference Out Of “California Gurls”

Katy Perry To Edit Beach Boys Reference Out Of "California Gurls"
Katy Perry To Edit Beach Boys Reference Out Of “California Gurls”. Though Katy Perry has been riding a huge wave of success with her hit “California Gurls,” the Beach Boys are trying to crash it. They’re trying to get compensation for her own homage to West Coast women. Beach Boys’ infamous “California Girls,” or maybe not if you’re a young fan of Katy Perry’s, features the lyrics “I wish they all could be California girls.” On Perry’s hit, Snoop Dogg utters the line at the end of the song during what seems to be some recorded ad-libbing. But Rondor, the copyright owners for Beach Boys Brian Wilson and Mike Love’s original “California Girls,” want some of that “California Gurls” cash. They’re asking for royalties from the single, which has sold over 3 million digital copies. While Rondor is threatening to sue Perry for plagiarism, the singer has already addressed the issue in her latest Rolling Stone article. There, she basically states that the song will be undergoing some cuts. “As much as I want a Beach Boys credit on my album, we have to take it out,” Perry told Rolling Stone about the Snoop Dogg-uttered line. While Snoop Dogg won’t be wishing they all could be California girls anymore, the song will hit record stores on her upcoming album sans the Beach Boys as co-writers. “Teenage Dream,” Perry’s follow-up to “One of the Boys,” is out August 24th
