Arctic Monkeys release ‘Cornerstone’, the second single from their recent, number 1 album ‘Humbug’ on Monday the 16th of November 2009. Placebo’s single to hit shops Sept 14th

Placebo have been highly active on the live circuit this year with 25 European festival appearances this summer alone (including a return to the mainstage at the Reading/Leeds festivals this August), followed by a huge arena tour booked for this December that includes a headline appearance at The O2 Arena in London on December 9th.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark to record Absolute session

OMD to record Absolute session. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will promote their special guest appearance on Simple Minds’ ‘Graffiti Soul’ UK Tour in November and December when they record and film an acoustic session for London’s Absolute Radio on Thursday 3rd September. The session will air on Absolute 105.8 FM on Thursday 17th September between 7-8pm, and on Sky Digital 0107 and DAB. The acoustic session, as well as an interview with the band, can be accessed on www.absoluteradio.co.uk. The Simple Minds/OMD Tour includes the following cities – Newcastle Metro FM Arena (Nov 30), Birmingham LG Arena (Dec 2), Manchester MEN Arena (Dec 3), Sheffield Arena (Dec 5), Cardiff CIA (Dec 6), London Wembley Arena (Dec 7), Glasgow SECC (Dec 11) and Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (Dec 12).
