Placebo have been highly active on the live circuit this year with 25 European festival appearances this summer alone (including a return to the mainstage at the Reading/Leeds festivals this August), followed by a huge arena tour booked for this December that includes a headline appearance at The O2 Arena in London on December 9th.
OMD to record Absolute session. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will promote their special guest appearance on Simple Minds’ ‘Graffiti Soul’ UK Tour in November and December when they record and film an acoustic session for London’s Absolute Radio on Thursday 3rd September. The session will air on Absolute 105.8 FM on Thursday 17th September between 7-8pm, and on Sky Digital 0107 and DAB. The acoustic session, as well as an interview with the band, can be accessed on www.absoluteradio.co.uk. KASABIAN have announced details of an arena tour of the UK this winter. The tour will begin on November 10 at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, and wind up at Sheffield Arena on November 23.Their latest album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, has sold over 150,000 copies in two weeks and is still top of the charts.
Tickets are expected to go on sale on Friday, July 3 at 9am.
