Pixie Lott likes British fashion best.
The Brit songstress is famed for her quirky style, and is currently working on her third collaboration with glam clothing brand Lipsy.
The 20-year-old says although American fashion is very glam, she prefers the more edgier, casual look that her native girls sport.
‘L.A. girls have a different sense of style. They look glam and groomed all the time. But I prefer British fashion. It’s much more individual, very cool and we’re great at being kooky and fun!’ she said in an interview with Closer magazine.
The British singer says America is best for shopping however, as the clothes are cheaper. Pixie loves shopping in boutiques in London but sometimes the pieces are too expensive.
‘There are lots of boutiques in London, but the bargains are in America. Brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Levi’s are cheaper over there,’ she revealed.
Pixie says she can’t live without accessories and relies on them to constantly update her look. The blonde beauty has also revealed her fashion ‘guilty pleasure’.
‘Jewellery,’ she said when asked what her must-have item is. ‘ wear rings every day, on all my fingers, and layer loads of necklaces. And UGG boots are my guilty pleasure.’
The Wanted join the ‘make mine Milk’ campaign. Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly and Britain’s newest pop phenomenon, The Wanted, have been unveiled as the latest big names to back low fat milk as part of the ‘make mine Milk’ campaign. The TV star and the five Wanted members ‘ Max, Tom, Nathan, Jay and Siva ‘ will be sporting the iconic ‘milk tash’ on thousands of bus sides and posters across England, Scotland and Wales from 17 January 2011.All six celebs jumped at the chance to become part of the multi-million-pound ‘make mine Milk’ campaign, which was launched in April 2010 by world famous chef Gordon Ramsay and British singing sensation, Pixie Lott. Further A-listers including R&B idol Usher, Formula 1 driver Jenson Button, supermodel Elle Macpherson and the four Hollywood stars of The A Team movie were revealed later in the year.Meanwhile, the boys from The Wanted, who topped the charts last year with their debut single All Time Low, are fronting a new online competition called the ‘make mine Milk’ Challenge, which dares Brits to down a pint of nutrient-dense, low fat milk in the quickest possible time. Twenty-year-old Jay McGuiness who beat his bandmates with an impressive time of 5.07 seconds, said: ‘ am loving being part of the campaign because I beat everyone else at the ‘make mine Milk’ Challenge ‘ I downed my pint of semi-skimmed milk in 5.07 seconds and that’s a record!.’ Irish-born Siva Kaneswaran, 21, who worked as a model before joining The Wanted, added: ‘Milk is one of my favourite snacks. I live with all the lads from The Wanted and we’re always fighting over the last of the milk. I buy my own stash now ‘ the boys take the mickey out of me but there’s nothing worse than running out of milk!’ The ‘make mine Milk’ campaign is designed to revive the nation’s love for milk, reminding people that most milk varieties contain less than 2% fat, and as it is nutrient-dense, low fat milk is also extremely healthy. It was created by the Milk Marketing Forum, which is a consortium of leading dairy companies comprised of Arla Foods UK, Dairy Crest Limited, First Milk, Milk Link and Robert Wiseman Dairies, with support provided by Dairy UK and The Dairy Council. Of the £7.5m spend, a third comes from European Commission funding.

Pixie Lott pretends to be a student so she can get half-price cinema tickets. The ‘Boys and Girls’ singer – whose first two singles topped the British charts – has revealed she lies to staff at her local cinema so she can save money just like her friends, but admits it doesn’t always go according to plan. She said: ‘When I went to see ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ I wanted to get in half-price like my friends, so I pretended to be a student, but they knew who I was! I keep getting recognised now, even when I went out for dinner with my parents a few nights ago, I was sat there in my comfy clothes and boots and everybody kept coming up to me all the time! I don’t mind it though.’ The 19-year-old star quickly rose to fame after releasing her debut LP ‘Turn It Up’ last September. Although she now has a glamorous pop star lifestyle, Pixie has admitted she used to apply for singing jobs in her local newspaper in a bid to become a ‘Pop Diva’ – and often had to lie about her age. She added: ‘I used to be in local productions and be singing and putting myself out there and I used to go to auditions too. I saw one in the newspaper looking for the next ‘Pop Diva’ and knew that I had to go. It was miles away o the other side of London and you had to be 16 and I was only 14, so my mum refused to take me, but I pestered and pestered her until she finally gave in. I lied about my age as well!’

JLS and Robbie to clean up at the REAL Brits. UK Music lovers show who they really want to win Brit Awards ahead of tonight’s event. JLS and Robbie Williams are the undisputed champions of the 2010 Brit awards – and the event hasn’t even happened yet. Music video streaming site MUZU.TV polled over 5,000 Britons all last week to find out which artists we most want to win. Despite critics claiming that this year’s awards will be dominated by the women, the public have voted otherwise. Every day last week, MUZU.TV put hot favourite Brit nominees up against each other, to battle it out for the public vote on its ‘Video Fight Club’. Fans voted for the artists they think deserve to win in each category. The results of the REAL Brits are: · The most popular artist of the entire poll was international heart-throb Robbie Williams. The cheeky northerner gave Calvin Harris, Dizzy Rascal and Paulo Nutini a run for their money, winning a staggering 98% of votes for the British Male Solo award.
· X-Factor stars, JLS, have clearly also won the hearts of the nation – 77% of those polled voted for the boy band to win British Breakthrough Act.
· Diva Leona Lewis stole 97% of the votes to win the Best Female Solo Artist, leaving Pixie Lott and Bat for Lashes in the shade
· According to British music fans, Florence and the Machine should be taking home the Best Album gong. The flame haired crooner had 51% of the public’s vote, beating Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen.
· 73% of us want Tinchy Stryder to walk away with Best Single for his track ‘Number One’, featuring N-Dubz. The pint sized urban music star, who’s monocle is ‘Star in the Hood’, stomped all over competition from Alexandra Burke, Alesha Dixon and Cheryl Cole
· Indie and rock fans around the country showed support for Kasabian, who won 62% of all votes to win Best Group.
