Estranged husband-and-wife duo Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson won’t get back together even after a seemingly friendly Valentine’s Day lunch together with their son Bronx if Papa Joe Simpson gets his way. Ashlee’s dad is apparently glad that his daughter is going to be single again because he wants to be the only man in her life.
According to our source, just like when Ashlee’s big sister Jessica split from then-husband Nick Lachey years ago, Joe is glad that his younger daughter is splitting from her man. The Simpson patriarch is said to enjoy being the only man his girls have in their lives.
A source told us, “Joe is doing nothing to encourage Ashlee to give the marriage another try, if only for the sake of her son. Joe like being the only man in his daughters’ lives and is happy that Ashlee has moved back into his hom [in Encino, CA], just like Jessica did after she announced she was leaving Nick.”
A desperate Pete even reached out to Ashlee’s parents to get her back, back Joe couldn’t be bothered to help.
A friend of the Fall Out Boy rocker claimed, “Joe got rid of Nick, and now he is saying goodbye to Pete. Let’s hope Ashlee finds more happiness than Jessica did when she finds herself officially single again.”
The 31-year-old rocker ‘ who has a two-year-old son Bronx Mowgli with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz ‘ has been in ‘dad-land’ over the last year and is looking forward to returning to work with new band Black Cards, particularly as his child is now old enough to ‘see the world’. Pete said: “The great thing right now is that my family is very mobile and are able to tour with me. And I think that’s the only thing that would’ve been a hurdle. But the fact they’re kind of able to go, I want to be back out there. “And it’s really cool to be able to see the world and to do it on a record company’s dime, so I’d like to kind of do that and I’d like to show my son the world as well.” Pete is also taking part in a charity competition, where he leads one of four teams ‘ with the others fronted by Run-DMC’s Reverend Run Simmons, New York Yankees star Nick Swisher and tennis ace Serena Williams ‘ who are trying to get to Dallas for the Super Bowl in a race fuelled by tweets and the musician is happy to be raising money for a children’s charity. He told our source: “My charity is St. Jude’s Children Hospital. It’s really an important charity to me, especially since becoming a dad the past two years of my life now and god forbid my son ever got sick. “It’s good people who are doing good things for children.”
Jessica Simpson’s new boyfriend ‘easygoing’. The ‘Dukes of Hazard’ actress’ sister Ashlee revealed she and husband Pete Wentz sometimes go on double dates with Jessica and her new man, NFL football player Eric Johnson, and she enjoys his gentle nature. She told our source: ‘He’s just really easygoing, they’re a fantastic couple. We’re definitely, like, all a big family, so we double date all the time.” Ashlee has also lifted the lid on her and Pete’s Halloween weekend with their 23-month old son Bronx, and her decision to crop her hair to short and blonde. Ashlee added: ‘For me it’s a fun change with my hair, I had fun, just a new do, chop it all off, be blond again, good times! ‘We had the best Halloween together, Bronx wore several different costumes, but I can’t tell you what.’ Although she enjoyed Halloween, Ashlee admits her favourite holiday is just around the corner, and she is already getting in the festive mood now. She said: ”m obsessed with holidays, I’m, like, ready for Christmas music now, I just get that way, I can’t help it.’ The ‘Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)’ singer is also working on a fourth studio album, but she won’t release anything for a while, as she is concentrating on her family life. She added: ‘ am working on it, but I’m taking my time, my little boy is my priority, I’m having a blast, but sometime late next year.’
Pete Wentz has formed a new band called Black Cards. According to a post on his personal blog on Petewentz.com, the bassist says he understands if Fall Out Boy fans do not gravitate toward the new sound. “If it’s not for you then we understand,” wrote Wentz. “[But] if you enjoy it, keep coming back.” He also hinted that more information on the band will be announced shortly. “There will be no treasure hunt. No viral campaign,” said Wentz. “Just the opposite – next week things will appear on this site in a very controlled distribution.” At the moment, all Bl4ckc4rds.com hosts is a sample of their electro-pop song, ‘Club Called Heaven’. Fall Out Boy are currently on an \”indefinite break\”.

Four Year Strong set release on Pete Wentz label. One of music’s premier pop punk bands, Four Year Strong, are set to release their heavily anticipated third full length album, Enemy of the World, in the UK on Defacto Records on May 31st 2010. The band, Dan O’Connor (Vocals/Guitar), Alan Day (Vocals/Guitar), Josh Lyford (Vocals/Synth), Jake Massucco (Drums), and Joe Weiss (Bass), was formed in Massachusetts in 2001 after O’Conner, Day, and Massucco met through mutual friends. With influences like Lifetime, Saves the Day, Gorilla Biscuits, and New Found Glory, FYS has always strived to create music that they themselves would enjoy as listeners. Their motivation has manifested itself in a fluid mix of everything from punk pop to hardcore to indie rock. Their distinct sound and incredibly energetic live shows has led to their inclusion on countless tours and also caught the attention of Fallout Boy’s Pete Wentz, who signed FYS to his label Decaydance Records in February 2008. The band’s heightened profile hasn’t stopped them from working non-stop as they continued a hectic touring schedule last year as a part of the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour and co-headlining a summer tour with Set Your Goals in the US. Pete Wentz has also been growing his beard to prepare for the Four Year Strong album which is set to be released in the US on 9th March. He’ll be shaving his beard live on Stickam (http://www.stickam.com/) the night before on 8th March. The band worked on EOTW with legendary producer, Machine (Lamb of God, Cobra Starship, Armour for Sleep).

The 25-year-old singer-and-actress has put the $4 million villa she bought before she married rocker Pete Wentz in 2008 up for sale – because she doesn’t think the five bedrooms will be enough for her expanding brood.
Ashlee – who already has a 15-month-old son Bronx Mowgli with the musician – said: “We’d love to have more kids. I love being a mother. We’re together all the time.”
Speaking about his desire to extend their family, Pete, 30, said: “Everything is awesome about being a dad. Eventually we want to be able to have our own soccer team!”
The Mediterranean-style mansion has an open plan kitchen, an upstairs master bedroom suite with matching his-and-her closets, a fitness room and a media room leading outside to the swimming pool and spa.
Estate agents Sotheby’s International Realty described the home as “ideal for discerning clients with stunning views of hills and canyon’.
PETE WENTZ and his pop star wife Ashlee Simpson have dismissed reports of marital problems by puckering up on stage. The Fall Out Boy star and Simpson were attending the MTV Australia Awards in Sydney on Friday night when they snogged in front of the bemused udience. Simpson appeared on stage and urged the crowd to “grab the person next to you” before planting a lengthy kiss on her husband’s lips. Wentz eventually broke away from the clinch and told the audience, “Sorry, we haven’t seen each other in a while. We’re going to go and find some quiet time and fornicate somewhere.” The couple will celebrate their first wedding anniversary in May.
He told BBC Newsbeat: “It’s kind of amazing to have a chance to see him again – I’ll come to London to do it.
“Have you seen the movie ‘The Prestige’? I think there is potential that this is all part of the act, part of the illusion that he will be out onstage and be dancing like the same old Michael and that he has everybody tricked. I think that anything is possible with it.”
Pete Wentz also wants to buy Michael Jackson’s golf cart.
The Fall Out Boy rocker – whose band covered Michael’s hit ‘Beat It’ last year – was amazed to hear Michael was planning to auction off some of his possessions next month, and is determined to get his hands on a piece of memorabilia.
He said: “I want that golf cart which has him dressed up with Peter Pan on the front of it!”
Simpson wipes a smudge of Wentz’s makeup off her face. “I hope he comes out soon,” she says, lifting her shirt to expose her colossal belly. “He’s killing my bladder.”
America’s Funniest Home Videos is on, and Wentz plops down on the floor to watch. He scoots backward between Simpson’s legs, resting his chin on her thigh and his head gently against her stomach. She strokes his hair, brushing the bangs from his eyes. On the TV, a fat lady tumbles off a trampoline and into a fence. They both laugh.
Wentz allows that the pregnancy sped things up, but he always knew they’d be married someday. He courted Simpson publicly and relentlessly, babbling about his crush in magazines (both were dating other people) and e-mailing her often. “I hunted her down and shot the dart in her,” he says. “I just had to wait for her to collapse.” Now they live in a Beverly Hills mansion just up the road from Posh and Becks, with his-and-hers bulldogs and a son on the way. “Basically,” Wentz says, “I’m married to the person I’d be jerking off to.”
The band’s new album is called Folie à Deux, French for a madness of two—a psychological condition in which two people suffer from similar delusions, each feeding off the other’s psychosis. (Wentz read about it in Newsweek.) The textbook example is Romeo and Juliet, but Wentz swears the title isn’t about him and Simpson. Instead it’s about fame—the toxic symbiosis between stars and their public.
Wentz has always lived his life in the spotlight, mostly by design. But since he married pop’s most notorious little sis, he’s become a red-hot tabloid magnet, hounded by paparazzi outside Starbucks like any Hollywood celebutard. “Pete would never be on the cover of People if it weren’t for Ashlee,” Perez Hilton says. “Before her, he was just that guy in the band who wore eyeliner and spent a lot of time on his hair.” As Ashlee’s due date nears, the paps have staked out the couple’s home 24/7, hoping to score pics of the mommy-to-be en route to the hospital. The morning after the video shoot, I meet Wentz and Stump for breakfast at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Wentz arrives a half-hour late: The paps pounced before he’d pulled out of the driveway, and he spent the next 30 minutes zigzagging his black Range Rover through the Hollywood Hills trying to lose them. “It’s weird,” he says, sliding into the booth. “Spending your life being followed by people who want a picture of the person sitting next to you.”
Stump snorts: “Welcome to my world.”
Wentz likes eating here because the paparazzi can’t get in. Still, he sits with his back to the wall, his eyes darting nervously toward any peripheral movement. “I’m paranoid pretty much all the time,” he says. A few nights ago, he was in the kitchen when he saw someone on the security monitor: a man, scaling the fence. He ran outside; the intruder hopped in his car and sped off, smashing the Range Rover on the way.
Wentz sets his sunglasses on the table and picks up the menu. Truth be told, he doesn’t look great. Dark bags ring his eyes, and his skin has a waxy, jaundiced pallor. He says he sleeps three hours a night—sometimes less—and pops Ambien like Tropical Skittles. “I can take three Xanax bars and not feel a thing,” he says. “It’s kind of scary.”
We haven’t been seated long when who should walk in the restaurant but Wentz’s buddy John Mayer. “Oh, shit!” Wentz says, jumping up to give him a hug. “What’s up, dude?”
Mayer answers with a hearty clap on the back. “I just sent you an e-mail! How’s the 32-month pregnancy?” He turns to Stump. “I swear to God, they’re making a superhero over there.”
Close friends who—had things turned out differently with Jessica Simpson—might also have been brothers-in-law, Wentz and Mayer set online tongues wagging last spring when they engaged in a breathless bromance on their respective blogs. (Wentz praised Mayer in a post called YES, IT’S A CRUSH; two days later, Mayer responded with a gushing note titled CRUSH REQUEST ACCEPTED.) “Pete has this fabulous meta-awareness,” Mayer says. “Some people mistake it for narcissism, but it’s really just his way of playing with the idea of ‘Pete Wentz.’ His genius is he’s always one step ahead.” Mayer also admires the way Wentz has navigated the perils of tabloid romance: “To have this beautiful relationship with someone who gets attacked so often, and to handle it with such grace and respect—I just find that really impressive.”
The Fall Out Boy rocker struggles to control his anxiety and says medication no longer helps his problem.
He admitted: “I’m paranoid pretty much all the time. I can take three Xanax and not feel a thing.”
Pete – whose wife Ashlee Simpson gave birth to their first child, son Bronx Mowgli, in November – also revealed he has stopped reading about himself online because the barrage of criticism gets him down.
He added to Blender magazine: “I was letting the blogs get to me. It’s semi-frustrating when your name actually becomes a synonym for douche bag.”
Pete’s decision to avoid blogs may help with his new year’s resolution.
The 29-year-old musician has vowed to control his language around his family.
He explained: ‘I’m working on not swearing around Bronx. I know I have a bit of a bad mouth.’
Pete recently revealed he and Ashlee are planning more children in the future.
He said: “I want to have six now. I mean not six specifically, but I want more. I can’t imagine that we’re stopping, you know what I’m saying?
“This is like a Journey song, it’s like the chorus is just going to keep coming.”
