The singer’s band mate, Dappy, has already announced his plans for a solo album while the band take a year-long break, and Tulisa is hoping to join him, and release a record with a dance group Swedish House Mafia.
She told UK radio station Choice FM: “I’d like to make a combination of things. I want to get on a bit of dance stuff. I’d love to work with someone like Swedish House Mafia, try something different.
“I also want to do acoustic things, just work from scratch with instruments whether it be strings or piano and just real melodic music. That’s what I’d like to do. Some nice ballads as well. Because that’s what I’m about really, growing up.”
Tulisa was quick to assure that N-Dubz – completed by producer Fazer – will return and their current break is only so they can pursue other projects temporarily.
She added: “We’ll be back and we’re always a part of the N-Dubz brand and we’re not going anywhere. It’s just basically a band, doing solo projects on the side.”
The London based hip-hop group are presently promoting themselves in the US, where lead rapper Dappy said he tried to teach the funk band his vernacular.
He said: ‘ had to tell ‘em straight, ‘this might not be Shakespeare but this is how I talk, bruv’. They definitely didn’t get ‘Peng’. Peng means fit, sexy, good looking.”
The ‘Girls’ hitmaker ‘ who stars in N-Dubz alongside singer Tulisa and producer Fazer ‘ said the ‘Californication’ group’s frontman, Anthony Keidis, initially recognised him because of his trademark headwear ‘ a beanie cap.
He added to Q magazine: ‘Anthony had heard of us, which was amazing. Well, he knew the hat – it’s, like, my calling card.”
N-Dubz recently revealed they are planning to take a fishing trip together after completing their next tour in April, to help keep their working relationship on track.
Tulisa said: ‘ love fishing. We’re all going to France together and are just going to camp by the river and fish every day and night.
” The trip’s more about Dappy and I, to sort of build up a relationship again as cousins.
“You get so caught up at work that you end up losing the family vibe and just hating each other as work colleagues.’
Meanwhile, Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on their latest album in Los Angeles.

New rock music channel LAVA launches 29 March 2010 on SKY 378, providing a platform for young rock and indie musicians. This is the latest venture from Mushroom TV, the production company behind Channel AKA (formerly Channel U), who are aiming to repeat the success of AKA within a new genre. LAVA will cover all rock sub-genres from Heavy Metal & Punk Rock to Grunge, Indie Rock and & Nu Metal and features unsigned acts from around the UK such as Deaf Havana, You Me At Six and Enter Shikari alongside classic and brand new Rock music. The motivation behind the launch is to uncover unsigned talent from the rock scene, before anyone else. Channel AKA helped to launch the careers of triple award winners and platinum selling Grime artists N-Dubz; Number 1 artist Tinchy Stryder; MOBO winner Chipmunk, and Mercury prize winner and Number 1 artist Dizzee Rascal to name but a few. AKA has been the first and only station to broadcast many up & coming Grime artists on music television, offering an opportunity to build a UK-wide fan base and to help bring them to the attention of record labels and artist management. AKA has also given many presenters a starting point for their future success, before he joined MTV to host the British version of Pimp My Ride, Tim Westwood had a show on Channel AKA, Radio 1 D.J’s Ace & Vis begun their media journey by hosting The Illout Show and MTV’s Scottie B had his TV debut with The Channel U Christmas Special. The Channel AKA and Lava formats allow the viewer to be in full control of the play list via a voting system, meaning that you only have to see the videos that you want to see.

JLS and Robbie to clean up at the REAL Brits. UK Music lovers show who they really want to win Brit Awards ahead of tonight’s event. JLS and Robbie Williams are the undisputed champions of the 2010 Brit awards – and the event hasn’t even happened yet. Music video streaming site MUZU.TV polled over 5,000 Britons all last week to find out which artists we most want to win. Despite critics claiming that this year’s awards will be dominated by the women, the public have voted otherwise. Every day last week, MUZU.TV put hot favourite Brit nominees up against each other, to battle it out for the public vote on its ‘Video Fight Club’. Fans voted for the artists they think deserve to win in each category. The results of the REAL Brits are: · The most popular artist of the entire poll was international heart-throb Robbie Williams. The cheeky northerner gave Calvin Harris, Dizzy Rascal and Paulo Nutini a run for their money, winning a staggering 98% of votes for the British Male Solo award.
· X-Factor stars, JLS, have clearly also won the hearts of the nation – 77% of those polled voted for the boy band to win British Breakthrough Act.
· Diva Leona Lewis stole 97% of the votes to win the Best Female Solo Artist, leaving Pixie Lott and Bat for Lashes in the shade
· According to British music fans, Florence and the Machine should be taking home the Best Album gong. The flame haired crooner had 51% of the public’s vote, beating Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen.
· 73% of us want Tinchy Stryder to walk away with Best Single for his track ‘Number One’, featuring N-Dubz. The pint sized urban music star, who’s monocle is ‘Star in the Hood’, stomped all over competition from Alexandra Burke, Alesha Dixon and Cheryl Cole
· Indie and rock fans around the country showed support for Kasabian, who won 62% of all votes to win Best Group.
The Brits will take place on Tonight 16 February at London’s Earls Court Arena commemorating 30 shows of the best in British music
JLS have beaten Robbie Williams to the top of the UK albums chart today (November 15) with their self-titled debut album. The boyband’s effort out-sold Williams’ new effort ‘Reality Killed The Video Star’ by around 2,000 copies, leaving the former Take That member at Number Two in the chart. Elsewhere in the chart Biffy Clyro went in at Number Eight with their new album ‘Only Continue reading →

We were the first to hear the first mix of the War Child charity single – and we reckon it’s going to be massive. Pixie Lott, N-Dubz, Tinchy Stryder, VV Brown, Kid British and Chipmunk are some of the hot new talent – working collectively as the Young Soul Rebels – recording I Got Soul, due out in August. N-Dubz star Fazer tells us: “We’re really behind the cause. We just had to get involved.”
The tunes are all present and correct, of course, but it’s the voice that hits you round the head like a Tom & Jerry frying pan: this potent, rich and addictive voice with the depth and maturity of a soul diva combined with the vim and dexterity of a teenage pop princess, all somehow, almost impossibly, coming from the mouth of a singer so perfectly packaged that people call her Pixie – 18 years old and still buzzing from the novelty of being able to go clubbing without her older sister’s ID.
Pop sensation Lady GaGa and award-winning N-Dubz will perform at an exclusive gig in Manchester on 13th July for thousands of volunteers. For its second year, Orange RockCorps, the music-led volunteer programme, will give people in Manchester and London the chance to earn a money-can’t-buy ticket to an all-star gig in their home city in return for four hours hard graft at community-based charity projects. The Programme will continue with a series of four-hour projects in Paris, followed by a gig for volunteers at Le Zenith on 2nd October. To launch this year’s expanded programme, N-Dubz will today swap the mic for the shovel to help volunteers at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, East London, transform a deconsecrated cemetery into a woodland retreat for nearby residents. The hip hop three-piece will join forty young volunteers for a four-hour project that will involve chopping down trees and hacking back centuries of overgrowth. Meanwhile, volunteers in Manchester will take part in a four-hour project at Hulme Community Garden Centre – a charity that addresses poverty, joblessness and climate change – in a deprived area of the city near Moss Side. During the four-hour project, volunteers will paint murals, plant vegetables and build pathways made from recycled glass. Both launch projects address the social issues – run-down urban environments, climate change and lack of job opportunities – that new research by Orange RockCorps reveals young Britons to be most concerned about. The research, in which more than 1,500 young Britons participated, examines the impact of the recession on young people’s attitudes to society. Over forty percent of 16-24 year olds feel that the downturn has given them a better sense of perspective on the issues that really matter, with a more than a fifth saying that the recession has actually inspired them to make more of a difference in their community. Volunteers wishing to take part in Orange RockCorps can register by visiting www.orangerockcorps.co.uk Lady GaGa and N-Dubz will perform alongside other star acts and DJ’s at the Manchester Apollo on 13th July in the first part of a five-month programme. Further acts for Manchester and a new stellar line-up for London’s Royal Albert Hall (26th September) will be announced in coming months. Each of the shows will feature an eclectic line-up of international acts. Eight thousand Britons and five thousand Parisians will take part in up to 150 charity projects over the summer. All volunteers are encouraged to strike up long-term relationships with local charity partners that include Lifeshare, The Mersey Basin campaign, Nacro, without the lure of a gig ticket. Last year, 5,000 young people in the UK took part in Orange RockCorps, earning tickets to see the stellar line up Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, The Automatic, John Legend, Feeder, Lethal Bizzle and Guillemots perform at the Royal Albert Hall. Collectively, volunteers worked 20,000 hours at 55 projects, helping 41 charity partners. 96 percent of those who took part last year intend to volunteer on an Orange RockCorps project again, and 57 percent said they would volunteer for their local community without the incentive of a ticket. The Orange RockCorps programme will also be amplified via a partnership with Sony Ericsson.
