Actor Rowan Atkinson is recovering at a hospital in England after he lost control of his car and caught on fire.
The “Mr. Bean” star was driving his McLaren F1 super car Thursday night in Cambridge, when it spun out of control on a wet road, ran into a tree and caught on fire, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
He was rushed to a hospital, where he’s being treated for “a minor shoulder injury.”
“We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision at 7.30pm on the A605 at Haddon,” a spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said.
Atkinson was taken to hospital in Peterborough with “a minor shoulder injury,” the spokesman added.
According to the celebrity magazine, the 56-year-old actor has had the McLaren F1 since 2007 when he bought it for over a million dollars.
It is reported that the car is considered one of the fastest cars to be licensed for general road driving, which can go up to speeds of 230 miles per hour.
Atkinson is expected to be discharged from the hospital Friday afternoon.
