Minka Kelly Denies Freaking Out On Flight Over Dog’s First-Class Accommodation. Minka Kelly is denying reports that she “freaked out” on an airplane. A report claims that the “Friday Nights Light” actress caused a scene when her dog wasn’t allowed on her first class seat during takeoff, but her lawyer refutes the account. According our source, Kelly, 30, was on Delta flight 2863 from JFK to LAX when she caused a scene about her dog not being able to sit with her during takeoff. The flight attendants and even the pilot tried to reason with her, but she wouldn’t budge. She called her boyfriend, New York Yankees player Derek Jetter, to try to rationalize with the crew. It also allegedly took seven flight attendants to calm down her screaming and crying. But Marty Singer, the actress’ lawyer, claims the story is “ridiculous.” He told our source that Kelly paid extra to bring her dog on board. But a flight attendant would not let her dog in the first class cabin during takeoff and landing because of space issues so the actress took her dog back to coach for takeoff and landing and spent the rest of the flight in first class with the pooch. Singer insisted that if the freak-out story was true, she would have been kicked off the flight. Kelly also didn’t call Jeter during the flight. Instead, she called her manager who booked the flight to convince the flight attendant that she made accommodations for the dog in first class.
