Eva Longoria Denies Nicollette Sheridan’s Claims That “Desperate Housewives” Set Is Hostile
Eva Longoria Denies Nicollette Sheridan’s Claims That “Desperate Housewives” Set Is Hostile. While the others are yet to show their faces in public, this housewife seems to bask in all the attention. Eva Longoria has spoken up again about the lawsuit filed by former “Desperate Housewives” co-star Nicollette Sheridan against creator Marc Cherry and ABC.
She’s still careful not to take sides, though. Longoria appears to refute Sheridan’s claims that Cherry has created a hostile working environment on the set while still trying to placate the other actress. Sheridan claims in her lawsuit that not only did Cherry make working in the ABC hit show’s set hell for everyone, he was also capable of violence when he hit her in the face. Longoria previously told Ryan Seacrest that she doesn’t think the show’s mastermind can hurt a fly and even hinted that maybe Sheridan just felt the incident was wrong. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that is set to air on Monday, the 35-year-old actress continued with her ABC support campaign while still trying to appease Sheridan. Longoria said, “The only thing I can say is we don’t have a hostile set, and Marc’s really nice, and Nicollette’s a nice girl, too.” She did admit, though, that she and her other castmates are trying to stay out of the whole mess because they want to protect their set and their work. As for “staying out of it,” she doesn’t seem to be doing a great job.
Drea De Matteo Leaving “Desperate Housewives” In May

Drea De Matteo Leaving "Desperate Housewives" In May
Drea De Matteo Leaving “Desperate Housewives” In May. Drea de Matteo won’t be staying for long on Wisteria Lane. The 38-year-old actress, who plays Italian toughie Angie Bolen on the sixth season of the ABC hit series “Desperate Housewives,” will be exiting the show in May. Series creator Marc Cherry insists that de Matteo wasn’t fired from the show, but they are just fulfilling their part of the deal when the former “Sopranos” star agreed to do the show. He told our source, “Part of the deal when we hired Drea was she was only interested in doing one season. She has a baby and is eager to get back to her life in New York.” Cherry refused to divulge how Angie will leave the rest of the housewives in the show, but he teases the arrival of John Barrowman as the man she has been running from will build to an “explosive finale.” Meanwhile, regular cast Dana Delany is also possibly leaving the girls – Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria-Parker, Marcia Cross, and Teri Hatcher – this season. According to our source, she is being lured to star in an ABC pilot “Body of Evidence.”
