After being harangued on twitter, Lily Allen admits that she’s back in the studio.
Website Popjustice have been tweeting at Allen for an update about any new music. And yesterday Allen tweeted, ‘@Popjustice you will be pleased to know that i am currently in the fucking studio with @GregKurstin so SHUT UP PETER!’
British writer Caitlin Moran accused Popjustice of bullying Allen, but she responded with, ‘@caitlinmoran @Popjustice no big deal really, im just throwing shit at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.’
That Greg Kurstin is the same man that co-wrote the single that Pink announced a couple of days back, and also worked on both of Allen’s albums.
It turns out the rumours were true, then.
Allen’s most recent musical output was guesting with Wiz Khalifa on T-Pain’s ’5 O’Clock’.
Lily Allen, who usually makes headlines for her celebrity feuds, really does have a reason to “Smile.” She’s pregnant and was just married over the weekend. The 26-year-old singer married decorator and business owner Sam Cooper during a ceremony at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire, England, on Saturday, where she wore a dress by French designer Delphine Manivet.
The couple shared the baby news at the wedding, and her rep confirmed the news to the press. The news comes just seven months after the couple suffered a miscarriage.
Allen and Cooper began dating in the summer of 2009, and Cooper reportedly popped the question while they were on vacation in Indonesia in December of the same year.
It’s the first marriage for Allen, who publicly announced a break from her music career.
The ‘Smile’ hitmaker has enlisted the services of Ted Lavender – who calls himself Ted at the Controls ‘ to provide the entertainment at her reception following her nuptials to fiance Sam Cooper on Saturday (11.06.11) in Gloucestershire, South West England, after hearing his demo tape – and he cannot wait to play at the event.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I do a lot of practising in my bedroom and I don’t get nervous, except at the beginning.
“But mostly it’s just really exciting when the crowd gets going. Lily’s really nice and I’m looking forward to really rocking her party.”
Ted’s dad Andy revealed Lily is keen for Ted to mix reggae and ska tunes for her 150 guests to dance to.
He said: “My eldest daughter Sarah is Lily’s half-sister and we’re all going to the wedding. Lily wanted Ted to play.
“I’ve got quite a large vinyl collection and Ted really enjoys playing my records.
“He saved up to buy his own decks and spends every hour he can on them.”
But Ted ‘ who is also set to play in the Hipshaker tent at the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend ‘ is not planning to be a full-time DJ.
He added: “I want to be an antiques dealer and I’ll probably do DJing at the weekends.”
Lily and Sam are set to celebrate their wedding with a honeymoon at Glastonbury Festival in a luxury £1,000 tepee.
The 25-year-old singer ‘ who is set to marry building firm boss Sam Cooper on June 11 in Gloucestershire ‘ will become professionally known by her new moniker, with the ‘Smile’ star telling record company chiefs it will be her new recording name.
A source said: “Lily has already told her management and record label bosses that from now on, she’ll be recording under her married name, Lily Cooper.
“She is actually a very traditional person in many respects and she just can’t wait to be a good wife and a great mum.”
The ‘Not Fair’ hitmaker has been preparing for her wedding by having two bespoke gowns by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld ‘ costing £38,000 in total ‘ because she can’t decide on a classic or a more modern design.
The source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Lily has been planning her dream dress for months and couldn’t decide between a classic, full-length ivory and lace gown or a shorter, more modern dress.
“In the end, Karl suggested she get one of each and decide on the morning which she’ll wear down the aisle. At the moment it looks as though she will plump for the more classic, vintage gown with a small train for the ceremony, and then change straight after the service into a shorter, tighter number.
“The latter will be more in keeping for the evening party and will allow her to dance more freely.”
Planning for the nuptials have not always been so easy ‘ Lily has previously hit out at those involved in her wedding and given advice to never walk down the aisle.
She raged on twitter: “Tip of the day: don’t ever get married, its a nightmare, and everyone involved (or not as the case may be) turns into a ****. Is there a train station for Gretna Green?
The ‘Smile’ hitmaker ‘ who is set to tie the knot with her builder partner Sam Cooper in Gloucestershire, South West England, on June 11 ‘ is bringing in the additional protection in order to keep any troublemaking to a minimum.
A police spokesman said: “The couple agreed to pay for extra officers. They will ensure minimal disruption.”
Lily and Sam’s wedding is set to take place in the village of Cranham, near Stroud, and the main road around the area will be closed, although residents will be given passes for access.
The 26-year-old singer will celebrate her nuptials by spending her honeymoon with Sam, 32, in luxury £1,000 tepees in the backstage VIP area at the Glastonbury Festival ‘ and event organiser Michael Eavis has vowed to make their celebration “special”.
He said: “Lily’s coming down for her honeymoon. We’ll look after her, I’ll set her up a special tent – she’ll get well treated.
“I’m going to the wedding in Gloucestershire. I’ve known her since she was tiny. She’s such a star isn’t she? I’m really looking forward to her wonderful wedding.”
The ‘Smile’ singer – who is marrying building firm boss Sam Cooper in Gloucestershire on June 11 – has been practising her culinary skills in the kitchen in the hope that she will impress judges and took to her twitter account to say she is pleased with the results.
She wrote: “I just made a kickass chocolate mousse cake, in preparation for my local baking competition. (sic)”
The star is brushing up on her domestic skills for when she becomes a wife and has made no secret of her desire to lead a domesticated family life, and is even planning a rural-themed wedding.
In her documentary mini-series ‘Lily Allen: Rags to Riches’ – which followed her career move from music to fashion and the opening of her vintage boutique store Lucy In Disguise – she said: “I want to get married and have kids and make sandwiches cutting the crusts off.”
However, despite the pretty brunette looking forward to wedded bliss she is not keen on the idea of getting older, with her 26th birthday coming up next Monday (02.05.11).
Shortly before boasting about her baking skills she tweeted: “I’ll be 26 in 5 days. Wrong side of 25.”

The music is recorded using real instruments.

EMI will be releasing a CD and download soundtrack album in May featuring music from the series plus bonus material.
Lily Allen has got engaged. The ‘Who’d Have Known’ singer is overjoyed after saying yes to her boyfriend Sam Cooper after he proposed to her on a beach in Bali on Christmas Day (25.12.10). The 32-year-old building firm boss got down on one knee at sunset on the balcony of their £800-a-night suite at the Amankila cliff-side resort, which overlooks the Indian Ocean. Following the proposal the couple celebrated in the hotel bar, drinking champagne and cocktails with other guests. One onlooker told our source: ‘Lily was telling everyone that she and Sam had just got engaged ‘ they could not keep the smiles off their faces. It couldn’t have been more romantic. The resort is just so peaceful and picturesque.’ The engagement means 2010 ends on a happier note for the couple, who lost their baby in November when Lily was six months pregnant. The 25-year-old pop star has been dating Sam since July 2009 and has previously spoken of how happy she is with him. She said: “Sam treats me differently. He’s told me he’ll look after me forever. Lily Allen takes a break to have baby. Lily Allen has taken a break from music because she is ready to have a baby. The singer – who is currently dating builder Sam Cooper, 31 – admits she has put her pop career on hold so she can fulfil her dream of becoming a mother. And Lily has scoffed at claims that, at 25, she is too young to devote herself to become a mother. She said in an interview with Elle magazine: ‘I don’t think I’m that young to have a baby. My mother had me when she was 23. It’s difficult as a woman who wants a family. ‘Kids take up your whole life, particularly in the first two or three years. So it wouldn’t be very responsible of me to commit to doing a world tour if I had a baby.’ However, at last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, South West England, Lily sparked rumours she was already expecting by steering well clear of cigarettes and alcohol. An onlooker told BANG Showbiz: ‘Lily spent the whole night sat on a deck chair wrapped up in a poncho canoodling with Sam. ‘She didn’t touch a drop of alcohol and not one cigarette passed her lips all night.’ The ‘Smile’ singer – who was left heartbroken after suffering a miscarriage with then-boyfriend Ed Simons’ baby in January 2008 – recently announced she was taking an extended break from pop music and was hoping to have a baby with the first year of her sabbatical. She said: “It’ll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again. I’d like to have a child within a year. “I know what commitment it takes to release an album. I don’t think that mixes well with the idea of settling down and having children, which is ultimately my goal and more of a priority than flying around the world.”
Cheryl Cole’s wealth has grown by 150 per cent in the last year. Dr Beresford added: ‘Britain’s women superstars are showing they have the talent and drive to make it big in their bank balances. And they can do it without the support of overpaid husbands or hangers-on.’ Among the surprise inclusions were Joss Stone, who is worth £4 million more than Lily Allen with £9 million earnings and Katie Melua, who came in one place behind 26-year-old Cheryl raking in £10 million in 2010.
