First Footage From “Scream 4″ Premieres At Spike TV’s “Scream” Awards. While “Scream 4” is the one of the most highly anticipated films of 2011, even the first look at official footage from the film was overshadowed by the stars’ off-screen troubles. David Arquette made his first public appearance since his separation from Courteney Cox Saturday at the taping of Spike TV’s “Scream” Awards. Cox, previously scheduled to appear, was a no-show. Arquette took the stage with his fellow “Scream 4” co-stars Neve Campbell and Emma Roberts, as well as director Wes Craven, there to introduce the first look at the upcoming sequel. “‘Scream’ was the first slasher film of our generation to break down the rules of survival in a horror movie,” Arquette said at the event, set to air Tuesday. The “Scream” awards also featured a first look at “Scream 4” and its extensive all-star cast, including quick glimpses of cast members Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Marley Shelton, Alison Brie, as well as cameos from Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin, and Shenae Grimes. “Welcome home Sidney,” the killer tells Campbell’s character in the world premiere clip. “You’re a survivor, aren’t you Sidney? What good is it being a survivor when everyone close to you is dead?” “Scream 4” won’t hit theaters until April 15th, 2011, but the exclusive first footage airs on the “Scream” awards today on Spike TV at 9pm ET/PT.
Betty White To Guest Star On “Community”. After her guest spot on “SNL” earned NBC big ratings and helped them score six Emmy nominations, Betty White is heading to “Community.” The network has locked her in for a guest appearance on the Joel McHale-starring comedy when it returns in the fall. According to the Hollywood Reporter, White will guest star on the second season’s premiere as an esteemed anthropology professor June Bauer that also happens to be off her rocker. NBC has not officially announced the premiere date for “Community,” but it’s expected to return along with the rest of NBC’s Thursday night comedy line-up in September or early October. Meanwhile, White earned a second season pick-up for her new TV Land comedy “Hot in Cleveland.” She’ll also appear opposite Kristen Bell and Jamie Lee Curtis in this fall’s “You Again.”

The Story: The privileged prep school teens on Manhattan’s Upper East Side first learn that Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”) is back in town the way they learn all the important news in their lives — from the blog of the all-knowing albeit ultra-secretive Gossip Girl. No one knows Gossip Girl’s identity, but everyone in this exclusive and complicated vicious circle relies on her website and text messages for the latest scoop. Even Serena’s closest friend, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester, “Entourage”), is surprised to find that Serena has suddenly ended her self-imposed exile to boarding school and returned to Manhattan.
Once the Upper East Side’s most notorious party girl, Serena’s reasons for returning are mysterious, although they may have something to do with her younger brother Eric (Connor Paolo, “Alexander”). Whatever the reasons, the change in Serena is obvious, especially to Blair, whose friendship with Serena has always been competitive and difficult. When Serena was out of the picture, Blair enjoyed her time in the spotlight and she has no intention of going back to living in Serena’s shadow. Their uneasy relationship is further complicated by Blair’s boyfriend Nate (Chace Crawford, “The Covenant”), a young man uneasy with all the privileges that have been handed to him by his high-powered father Howie “The Captain” Archibald (Sam Robards, “The West Wing”). Now that Serena is back, Blair will have to fight to hold onto Nate’s attention. It also remains to be seen whether Blair’s loyal lieutenants — Katy (newcomer Nan Zhang) and Isabel (newcomer Nicole Fiscella) — will remain by her side or break ranks to follow Serena.
The tension between Blair and Serena isn’t lost on anyone in this crowd, since they all live for gossip and scandal — along with fashion, shopping and partying in Manhattan’s trendiest hot spots. This is a world you have to be born into, full of wealth, power, and people like Chuck (Ed Westwick, “Children of Men”). A friend of Nate’s since childhood, Chuck leads a reckless life, and constantly pushes Nate to explore his dark side.
The proverbial fish-out-of-water at the prep school are Dan (Penn Badgley, “John Tucker Must Die,” “The Bedford Diaries”) and his sister Jenny (Taylor Momsen, “Paranoid Park,” “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”), middle-class kids whose background keeps them on the fringes of this exclusive clique. Dan and Jenny are attending the school at the insistence of their father Rufus (Matthew Settle, “Into The West”), a former rocker turned art gallery owner, determined to give his kids a first-class education. Rufus has a history with Serena’s mother Lily (Kelly Rutherford, “Melrose Place”), a socialite who hides her past as a dancer and rock groupie. When a chance encounter brings Dan to Serena’s attention, he suddenly finds himself dating the girl of his dreams. The more Dan discovers about the real Serena, the more he’s challenged to make sense of her world. Dan’s sister Jenny is the youngest of the group and wants desperately to be accepted. The price she’ll have to pay for popularity will take a toll, but at the moment, Jenny is just thrilled to have entry into this glamorous world.
Dan and Serena’s relationship is further complicated by the arrival of Dan’s friend Vanessa, a Brooklyn rebel and loner who doesn’t approve of Serena’s world of money, fashion shows and fund raisers. Vanessa’s attempts to pull him back to his roots will cause friction between Dan and Serena.
Keeping track of the shifting friendships, jealousies and turmoil in this wealthy and complex world isn’t easy, but it’s what Gossip Girl does best.

The dancer-turned-actress Jennifer Morrison made her film debut in the movie “Intersection.” She has also starred in “Urban legends Final Cut” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” but she currently has a role on the Fox drama “House.” The actress was born August 19, 1979, in Chicago and has dated co-star Jesses Spencer. An actress who first earned her critical laurels (and reeled in a substantial television fanbase) as Dr. Alison Cameron on the blockbuster medical drama House (2004), Jennifer Morrison grew up well outside the realm of Hollywood, in a middle-class family in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois. As a preteen and teenager, Morrison entered showbusiness via modeling, appearing in innumerable print campaigns and gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids at one point; after wrapping up high school, she attended Loyola University as a theater major (reportedly graduating in only three years) and subsequently trained with the legendary Steppenwolf theatrical ensemble, onetime home to such stars as John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, and Glenne Headly. From there, Hollywood fame was merely a short leap away; by the time of her Loyola graduation, Morrison had already officially debuted onscreen, with a small part as the daughter of Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in the psychological drama Intersection (1994) and a more significant role as a missing girl who psychically haunts Kevin Bacon in the supernatural thriller Stir of Echoes (1999). Morrison signed for her first lead with a role that many felt unworthy of her talents and intelligence: that of Amy Mayfield, a young film student who gets in way over her head amid a thesis project on urban legends, in John Ottman’s slasher outing Urban Legends: The Final Cut (2000). Subsequent projects included Michael Davis’s teen-oriented romantic comedy 100 Women (2002), Casey La Scala’s teen comedy Grind (2003), and — as something of a nadir — the critically despised holiday gross-out fest Surviving Christmas (2004), in which she played Ben Affleck’s snotty girlfriend. As indicated, House represented Morrison’s breakthrough and the role that finally brought her public attention. The long-running Fox drama told of Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), a diagnostician with an astounding degree of medical knowledge and an absolute dearth of social skills. As Dr. Cameron (an immunologist with a not-so-secret crush on the physician), Morrison brought a much-needed dose of warmth and vulnerability to the series. Morrison subsequently made headlines in 2007, when she was tapped to appear as Winona Kirk, James T. Kirk’s mother, in J.J. Abrams’s much-anticipated 11th installment of the Star Trek series.
