Arctic Monkeys get to work on new album.
Arctic Monkeys get to work on new album. Brit-rockers Arctic Monkeys are working on their fourth album. Our source reports that the band will again work with producer James Ford from Simian Mobile Disco. Ford co-produced 2009′s Humbug alongside Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age, as well as 2007′s Favourite Worst Nightmare. In the meantime, Ford has worked with Klaxons, Beth Ditto, and Florence And The Machine. In March last year the band said that they’d get right back into the studio following the Humbug tour, and that they already had new tunes at that time. Although drummer Matt Helders said mid-last year that the only new songs they had were the leftovers from the Humbug sessions. There’s no news on when the new album will be released.

Klaxons explain three year gap
Klaxons explain three year gap Klaxons` members Simon Taylor-Davis and Steffan Halperin say they were not sitting around sipping cocktails for the three years in between their first and second albums. ‘We actually didn’t stop touring until last years Bestival. It was probably about a year ago,’ Simon tells our source. ‘We haven’t been on a beach somewhere sipping cocktails. We’ve been non-stop. As soon as we stopping touring we started writing again and then we went to Los Angeles to record. We have been busy’. Three years may be a long time in between records but Klaxons didn’t stop working. ‘We just wanted the album to be right before it was released so we just thought ‘when its ready, its ready,’ Steffan says of the album ‘Surfing The Void’. When Klaxons started work on album number two, it happened fast. ‘Most of it was written in 10 days in Wales and then we went to LA to record it,’ Steffan says. ‘We recorded it in 3 or 4 months’.
