International pop superstar Lady Gaga today announced plans for her next North American tour, entitled “The Monster Ball.” The tour will begin on November 27 in Montreal, and will wind up on January 21, 2010 in Gaga’s hometown, New York City. Kid Cudi will be the supporting act for the entire tour. Lady Gaga, Drake Nominated For Best New Artist At MTV’s VMAs

Lady-Gaga-jet-2Nirvana, Eminem, Guns n’ Roses and 50 Cent, what do they all have in common? They were all winners of MTV Video Music Awards’ Best New Artist trophies, and now Lady Gaga, Drake, Kid Cudi, Asher Roth and 3OH!3 will look to join those names as they compete in the same category at the 2009 VMAs, taking place on September 13th at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Lady Gaga has had the biggest year of the five nominees, as her The Fame spawned blockbuster hits like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” as well as a a Rolling Stone cover story. But the buzz around Drake — and the huge sigh of anguish surrounding his leg injury, which yanks him from Lil Wayne’s Young Money tour — make him a worthy opponent. Asher Roth and 3OH!3 have had big years on the radio and on the road, and Kid Cudi’s remixes have had him on critics’ lists for the past 12 months, too. As Rock Continue reading

Kanye to tour with Lady GaGa

kanye-westrtvDetails are scant, but Kanye West revealed earlier this week that he plans to go on a co-headlining tour with our favorite evil robot, Lady GaGa.  “She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act,” he told the ladies of “The View.” “We’re doing our show together, with no opening act.”  According to MTV, Ye’s handlers had no other specifics to report, though it looks like there’s a great big gap in his calendar considering he has no performances on slate so far for the rest of the year.  He’ mentioned also that he’s working a sample of “Poker Face” into up-’n'-comer Kid Cudi’s new track “I Make Her Say,” which was originally titled “I Poke Her Face.”  Also this week, West’s rep confirmed to OK! Magazine that he’s split with girlfriend Amber Rose. We would otherwise shrug, but if you’ll remember, the superstar’s last major breakup inspired, you guessed it, “808s & Heartbreak.” Perhaps we can all expect an uptick in production
