Katy Perry
Katy Perry: Love is a dream
Katy Perry was ‘trying to keep her marriage alive.’
The singer is currently promoting her fly-on-the-wall documentary Part of Me 3D. It was produced from over 300 hours of film footage shot during her 2011 California Dreams world tour.
Katy’s 14-month marriage with Russell Brand broke down towards the end of her performances. Before the pair split Katy was unwilling to go more than two weeks without seeing Russell.
Striking a balance was important to the singer.
‘Being in love is a dream, but the reality is not like the movies,’ she revealed in the movie. ‘There”s a lot more compromise and sacrifice. I”m trying to keep my marriage alive.’
Later in December when Russell filed for a divorce a make-up free and upset Katy divulged to the camera her thoughts on the life-altering event.
‘The truth is I”m a romantic and I believed in the fairy tale. I did everything I could but it still failed,’ she shared. ‘The dream of being in love is a lot different than the reality of making it work. I”ve got a second chance at a brilliant life.’

Robyn happy with ‘real’ promo

Robyn
Robyn was ‘going for it’ on her most recent promo, because she wanted to feel ‘real’.
The 32-year-old Swedish singer, who has supported US songstress Katy Perry on her California Dreams Tour, released the last album of her trilogy Body Talk, in November of last year, with lead single Indestructible.
The second single to be released from the record was Call Your Girlfriend, and the star says she worked hard on the music video for the track.
‘We decided to do in one take, it worked out. We chose between three takes, we chose the one that had the energy people get when they go to a show,’ she revealed in an interview with BBC Radio One.
‘ was going for it, you have to. If it doesn’t feel real nobody’s gonna wanna watch it.’
Robyn likes to mix improvised routines into her structured promos. The platinum-haired songstress, who won a Swedish Grammis award for Best Live Act in 2008, says her promo for Call Your Girlfriend was a combination of the two.
‘t was a mixture of freestyle and choreographed together,’ she added.
