The singer, who is set to release his debut solo single See No More next week, said he would choose Sting and Kanye West as part of his ideal musical ensemble.
Having found fame with his siblings as part of the hugely successful Jonas Brothers, Joe is now venturing out on his own ‘ and proved his great music taste by picking two legendary artists as his fantasy back-up.
‘ want Sting on bass, for obvious reasons really. He’s a fantastic artist, an incredible guy and I think he would do a really great job,’ Joe told British newspaper The Independent.
‘ really want a hype man for my band, is that allowed? It would be Kanye West because I feel like he just owns it, he’s 100 percent hype and he’s got such a cool vibe to him. Everything he does is so exciting. It would be a pretty interesting group, I reckon. Something different for people to hear anyway! I’m confident it would sound cool.’
Joe also revealed the worst gig he has ever played.
Recalling a performance with The Jonas Brothers, he recalled a particularly awkward experience at a strawberry festival.
‘There was hardly anyone there, and the sound cut out halfway through, and that was a little bit upsetting. We had to perform without any sound equipment,’ he told British newspaper The Guardian. ‘We didn’t get angry and smash the place up, no. But we did get asked to judge the winning strawberry as compensation for the bad sound. The winning strawberry was fantastic.’

Adele has announced a European tour for Spring 2011. Adele has announced a European tour for Spring 2011, which comes to the UK and Ireland in April. ‘Rolling In The Deep’, Adele’s forthcoming single is released on Sunday January 16th. Written and produced by Adele and award winning British producer Paul Epworth, it’s a ‘dark bluesy gospel disco tune’ according to Adele herself. Adele’s new album ’21′ is set to be released on Monday January 24th. Most of the album was recorded in Malibu with the legendary Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Jay Z, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and back in Kensal Rise in London with Paul Epworth (Plan B, Bloc Party, Florence). Adele cites Wanda Jackson, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Mary J Blige, Mos Def, Elbow, Tom Waits and Kanye West amongst others as key influences on ’21′. About its release she says ‘ It’s taken a while and it knocked me for six when writing it. It’s different from ’19′, it’s about the same things but in a different light. I deal with things differently now. I’m more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles. Something that comes with age I think. So fittingly this record is called ’21′. The whole reason I called my first album ’19′ was about cataloging what happened to me then and who I was then, like a photo album you see the progression and changes in a person throughout the years’. ‘Rolling In The Deep’ is released on XL Recordings on Sunday January 16th ’21′ is released on XL Recordings on Monday January 24th. Kanye West Voluntarily Wraps Gifts For Foster Kids. Kanye West may be all about his ego most of the time, but for 90 minutes, he made it all about the kids. The controversial rapper/singer spent an hour and a half gift wrapping presents for foster kids at a charity event in New York. The great thing about the deed is that Kanye wasn’t even asked to wrap the gifts. He just happened to be in the area where the New Yorkers for Children’s 8th annual “Wrap to Rap” event was taking place so he decided to help out. According to TMZ sources, he was not scheduled to attend the event on Tuesday, but he still strolled right in at 6 p.m. and asked if he could help out. When some people at the event asked why he wanted to help, he apparently said that he simply felt compelled to lend a hand because it was a good cause. The insiders said Kanye “cheerfully” wrapped some of the 2,000 gifts donated by Wal-Mart before quietly slipping out the back.

Kylie Minogue To Perform On Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We just got a lot more thankful for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Pop princess Kylie Minogue has just been added to line-up. While some of us will be singing “Get Outta My Way” at the food line, Minogue will be performing one of her hits off her new album “Aphrodite” in the streets of Manhattan. She’ll be on the new Homewood Suites by Hilton “On the Roll Again” float, which sees her surrounded by wooden pull toys and a family of ducks. Maybe a performance of the “Locomotion” would add to the nuttiness. Kylie joins an impressive and especially random group of performers this year, including Kanye West, Mannheim Steamroller, Jimmy Fallon & the Roots, Jessica Simpson, Big Time Rush, Juanes, and India Arie with Dora the Explorer. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade performance will air between 9am and 12pm EST. While she’s in the states, she’s also set to unleash some North American tour dates very soon, following her ultra-successful stateside tour in 2008.
Kanye West Cancels “Today Show” Performance. Kanye West has been on Twitter quite a bit lately. First, to denounce Matt Lauer and NBC’s “The Today Show” after a recent appearance. Now, he announced that he’s canceling his “Today Show” performance originally scheduled for later this month. West was slated to take the stage on Friday, November 26th to perform tracks from his upcoming new album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.” He’s still scheduled to perform the day before during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. But after his much-discussed “Today Show” appearance, where West expressed his frustration with the show for playing audio of his infamous Taylor Swift speech interruption during his interview, he pulled the plug on what was to be a “live concert on the plaza.” “I’m not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons,” Kanye tweeted. “I’m so happy the world got to see just a small piece of ‘the set up.’…I blatantly said I’m not performing on a tweet and to everyone around me and the next day they still announced a performance. “Do you guys see what I’m saying now?” he continued. Sounds like “Paranoid” isn’t just a song off “808s & Heartbreaks.” But Kanye insists he isn’t angry at Lauer or the show. “I don’t hate Matt Lauer,” he added. “We don’t promote hate. That’s the whole point!!! I promote love and truth!”…All positive energy… all smiles.”
