Justin Bieber could rap by the time he was eight.
The 18-year-old singer is known as a pop star but is trying to make his sound more mature at the moment. He explained moving into hip-hop would be a natural step for him as it’s a genre he has loved for over a decade.
‘I grew up listening to different things. My dad loved Tupac, so he introduced me to Tupac when I was really young. I could spit a Tupac verse when I was like eight years old,’ he explained.
‘I think that guys are starting to like my music more. I think that older ladies are starting to like my music more.’
Justin recently moved into his own home, which he shares with a friend. He’s excited to have space to himself but assures his fans he hasn’t been going too wild.
‘I just got my own place. I’m not going crazy, I am running around naked in the house often. That’s what you have to do when you get your own place, you feel comfortable going to get some cereal butt naked,’ he laughed on radio programme The Angie Martinez Show.
Although Justin cooks occasionally, he never washes his own clothes as he ‘doesn’t have time’ for laundry.
The teenager also spoke about how he goes incognito while out and about. There are certain places he can go where people don’t bother him, although in others he has to take steps not to be bothered.
‘I never put on a disguise. One time I went to Venice Beach [in Los Angeles] and I wanted to skateboard and I put on a mask. There’s a bunch of people who are crazy there so I was just rolling in a masque on a beach and no one bothered me,’ he said.
Justin Bieber has joked that his new record reflects his new “sexy” state of mind.
The Canadian superstar is currently promoting his newest record Believe, which features the hit track Boyfriend. Justin – who is famed for his boyish charm – says his new music mirrors his evolution into maturity.
“You know, I’m 18,” he told ET Online when asked about his sultry new single. “I’m growing as an artist and my fans are growing with me. So I’m just making music that reflects that.
“I think this song is a sexy song. I’m pretty sexy right now,” he quipped, before adding: “No I don’t have those moments!”
Justin is hounded by hordes of female fans. The constant attention surrounding him has led to problems in the past – namely a paternity lawsuit filed against him by a then-20-year-old woman named Mariah Yeater. She alleged that the star fathered her baby boy, but later dropped the lawsuit.
Justin has included a song on the album called Maria.
“We changed her name so we can’t get sued,” he said sheepishly. “I felt like I just wanted to talk about it. I mean it was something that was a pretty significant thing to happen.”

Justin Bieber claims the dog he adopted with Selena Gomez ‘doesn’t like him much’. The teen heartthrob and his girlfriend decided to care for the husky mix pooch after visiting an animal rescue center in Winnipeg, Canada, last week.
Although Selena has already formed a close bond with Baylor, Justin admits he is unsure about their new pet.
‘t was kind of like she just saw the dog, and it kept going to her,’ Justin explained to Access Hollywood. ‘ don’t think the dog really likes me that much.’
The 17-year-old went on to reveal that it was Selena who really fell for the hound. Justin wasn’t expecting to adopt a pet, adding the singer-and-actress has been spending most of her time with Baylor.
‘She saw this dog, and she fell in love with it. She was like, ‘I need to have it!” Justin added. ‘We just went to the shelter just to look around. Turns out, she brought one home.
‘ think he’s on tour with her right now.’
The singing sensation went on to explain why he hires out whole movie theatres. Justin famously rented out the Staples Center in Los Angeles so he and Selena could watch a film in privacy.
‘if I go into a movie theatre and everyone’s not looking at the movie and looking at us, it’s kind of like awkward. I’m looking at the movie and everyone’s looking at me. It’s like I’m the movie or something,’ he added, before revealing he was choked up watching Hugh Jackman in Real Steel. ‘ thought it was just going to be a bunch of robots hitting each other, but it was a good storyline. I think I teared up a little bit.’
Justin Bieber’s Argentinean fans were so frenzied that police had to close of an “entire neighbourhood” for the star.
Justin is in Buenos Aires for the South American leg of his My World Tour. Upon arrival at the Faena Hotel in the Puerto Madero area around 600 of his dedicated fans were waiting for him. The streets became so congested that police had to become involved.
“The hotel had to call the police to bring barricades and close off the entire neighbourhood. It was bigger than when Evita appeared on the balcony of the presidential palace,” a source joked to New York Post, referring to the legendary former Argentinean First Lady.
Justin played two shows at the enormous River Plate Stadium.
Cobra Starship were the singer’s opening act on this leg of the tour. The performances in Argentina were made extra special as they celebrated lead singer Gabe Saporta’s birthday. The musicians reportedly celebrated with dinner in the hotel.
Justin was thrilled with the response from his fans.
He took to Twitter to express his feelings about performing on the same stage as the late Michael Jackson.
“crazy! we were on the same stage as MJ 2nite! #HONORED!!” he wrote.
Justin’s tour continues on to Chile, Peru and Venezuela and will finish later this month.
Comedianne Kathy Griffin says she was so inspired by actor Jim Carrey’s worship video of Emma Stone that she decided to create one of her own for Justin Bieber.
A day after 49-year-old Carrey posted an oddly creepy video “love note” to 22-year-old actress Stone, which he later said was a joke, Griffin confessed her love for a much younger man.
“I’ve decided to pledge my love. So this is a message for you, Justin Bieber,” she said Friday. “You are all the way beautiful, even with those lesbian bangs–but that is not any diss to the LGBT community.”
The “My Life on the D-List” star, whose close-up to the camera resembled that of Carrey’s video, continued on with her spoof.
“You’re smart and kind-hearted,” Griffin said as she glanced back and forth between the camera and a copy of what Carrey had said. “That’s kind of an assumption, er, you seem nice…If I could, I would marry you. Oh, that’s actually not true. It’s messy, Justin.
“And the sex _ whoo _ it’s going to be weird,” the 50-year-old comedienne deadpanned into the camera.
This is not the first time Griffin has poked fun of the teenager.
Last year, the red-headed comedienne spoofed Bieber in a video that aired on ABC talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Bieber, who won Best Male Video for “U Smile” at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, has not commented on Griffin’s video.
Justin Bieber has hit the studio with producer Tricky Stewart to cut songs for his new album.
Justin is currently working on his second studio album after his first record My World 2.0 garnered chart success worldwide. In a bid to move away from his teeny-bop glory, Justin is collaborating with cutting-edge producers like Tricky Stewart and the more underground Soundz. He is so elated about joining forces with them he took to Twitter to express his delight.
“in the studio writing with @TrickyStewart – last time this happened a song called BABY happened. LEGGO. #believe,” Justin tweeted. “At the studio writing for my album with @trickystewart and @soundzdope follow them … #BELIEVE.”
Justin has collaborated with singer Chris Brown and super producer Kanye West this year. These musical moves suggest he is interested in taking a more adult direction with his newest works.
Producer Tricky has crafted several hit tunes in recent years including Beyoncé Knowles’ Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) and Rihanna’s Umbrella. Justin is taking an active part in the production as well and is excited about entering new creative planes with this album.
“[I'm] writing about how I feel and producing,’ Justin said to MTV News in June. ”ve been producing on my laptop and on my computer. I’ve been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge.”
Justin’s newest album is rumoured to be entitled Believe, but the name has not been confirmed. It is expected to be released this Fall.
The 17-year-old singer topped People magazine’s annual list after earning a reported $53 million in the last year, beating the likes of Miley Cyrus ‘ who shot to fame playing the title character in Disney TV show ‘Hannah Montana’ ‘ and his girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Justin’s earnings are thought to have increased after the success of his 3-D concert movie, ‘Never Say Never’, and from sales of his new perfume Someday.
Miley, 18, took home a cool $48 million, while 19-year-old Selena banked just $5.5 million in comparison.
Will Smith’s children Jaden and Willow made $9 million combined, while Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas racked in an impressive $12.5 million.
And it seems Justin has been keen to spend some of his hard-earned cash as he recently splashed out $25,000 on a necklace.
The ‘Baby’ hitmaker also had a hand in designing his new piece of jewellery which is based on animated ‘Family Guy’ talking baby Stewie Griffin – voiced by Seth McFarlane – and features 12 carats of rubies and diamonds.
Beverley Hills jeweller Jason Arasheben helped Justin create the necklace, revealing the ‘One Time’ performer “had a specific vision for how he wanted it to look”.
The Disney actress ‘ who has been dating the ‘Baby’ hitmaker since early this year ‘ is said to have split from the 17-year-old singing sensation over concerns about his new-found bad boy pals.
In recent weeks, Justin has been hanging around with former child burglar turned rapper Sean Kingston, ex-convict Lil Wayne, and has collaborated on a new track with Chris Brown, who put his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in hospital after attacking her in 2009.
However, the final straw allegedly came when Justin brought Sean to one of the19-year-old singer’s concerts in Florida last week.
A friend of Selena said: ‘Selena told him to stop hanging with these bad people. She didn’t want him to crash her gig.
‘They had a huge row and said it was good they were having time apart while she was on tour.”
However, Justin is said to have taken the split badly, and was spotted in tears after one of their arguments.
The pal added to The Sun newspaper: ‘t’s hard seeing a little 17-year-old crying and saying he loves her.”
Justin Bieber can’t wait to work on his new album.
The 17-year-old pop superstar recently announced he is taking a month away from music to spend time with his loved ones, including girlfriend Selena Gomez. However, Justin is already showing he is missing his hectic schedule by revealing plans to get into a recording studio to lay down vocals for his next record.
‘more excited than ever to get back in the studio and make this #newalbum. miss the tour and want to give u all new music. ‘ Justin wrote on his Twitter account.
The singer’s manager Scooter Braun recently revealed Justin will be taking a more ‘edgy’ route for his new material and will work with Chris Brown and Kanye West.
Meanwhile, the heartthrob sent fans into a frenzy after making a surprise appearance at Selena’s concert in California last night. Justin joined Selena on stage and hugged the brunette beauty, before launching into a medley of Favourite Girl and Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me a River.
The star was thrilled by the crowd’s reaction to his secret entrance and he also paid tribute to his talented singer-and-actress girlfriend.
‘@selenagomez u did great tonight. proud of u,’ he Tweeted. ‘had a #greatnight and suprised the people. felt good to be on stage. nothing is changing that.
Justin Bieber is taking a month off from his busy schedule to ‘grow up’.
The 17-year-old Canadian sensation is soon going to start work on his new album, but says he is going to take some time out to do the normal things in life that he hasn’t managed to do yet.
Justin, who is considered a teen idol, has revealed how he wishes to spend his month-long vacation.
”ve been working so hard, I’m taking a month off,’ he told the Hollywood Reporter.
‘t’s been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with friends. I’m still growing up, and when you’re working every day, you don’t really get a chance to figure out who you are.’
‘So with the time off, I’m able to think, pray and just kind of grow up.’
Justin has had an amazing journey over the past few years, since being discovered on video sharing website YouTube in 2008.
He has won numerous industry awards, sold out Madison Square Garden in New York and has been dating fellow teen star Selena Gomez.
Vanilla Ice was only 16 when he hit it big with “Ice Ice Baby.” Now he’s got advice for another teen sensation, Justin Bieber, saying his success probably won’t last.
Real name Rob Van Winkle, Ice has enjoyed renewed success thanks to his hit DIY network show “The Vanilla Ice Project,” which sees him trading rhymes for remodeling. But before that, he was another young star who saw how it could all change in the blink of an eye.
“I mean, I did ‘Ice Ice Baby’ when I was 16. So I can kind of relate a bit,” Vanilla Ice told HuffPost Celebrity about Justin Bieber. “Sold over a hundred million records. And I had a weekend that lasted about three years, and I didn’t know who I was, what’s my purpose in life.”
What followed was career suicide with poorly received albums, drugs, an attempt at real suicide, and even worse, a stint on “The Surreal Life.” But luckily he’s rebounded with his hit show, and now a role in the Adam Sandler comedy “I Hate You Dad,” plus work on a new album.
But now Ice is sharing some of his learned lessons with 17-year-old Bieber, who’s already got hit albums, a movie, and sold-out tours under his belt.
“So my prediction about Bieber is that he’s going to go through one of those weekends that lasts a few years because he’s had such success as a child act,” Vanilla Ice said.
“You know, then something else new will come along and he’ll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together, so it’s going to be entertaining to watch,” he added.
Justin, who’s work on a new album and just released his first fragrance, and his fans might disagree. But of course, as the Biebs would say, never say never.
