Jessica Alba welcomes second daughter
The 30-year-old “Fantastic Four” star announced the birth of her second daughter Haven Garner Warren on Facebook Saturday, reports Us Weekly.
“She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy!” Alba wrote. “Big sister Honor couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to our family.
“Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me,” she posted.
The Pomona, Calif.-native also has a three-year-old daughter named Honor Marie, with husband Cash Warren.
Alba and Warren, who is the son of “Hill Street Blues” actor Michael Warren, met during the filming of “Fantastic Four” in 2004. They married four years later in Los Angeles.
Just last month, Alba told Us Weekly that the couple was still trying to get things ready for the new arrival.
“The nursery isn’t ready. It’s not even close, but I’m accumulating things,” she said. “In the beginning the baby stays with me in the room, so you don’t need the nursery ready so soon. We’re remodeling our house, so it’s going to take a few months. I’m really taking my time.”
Alba will be seen on the big screen on Aug. 19 as a stepmom and retired spy agent who’s called back into action in the film, “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World.”

20th Century Fox has revealed the new trailer for Machete, opening in theaters on September 3. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, the action film stars Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson and Steven Seagal. “Machete” is based on the “fake” trailer in Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 “Grindhouse,” featuring Danny Trejo and Jeff Fahey reprising their original roles. The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) his “holy” brother, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Jessica Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger. website
Based on the novel by pulp writer Jim Thompson, the movie follows a small-town Texas sheriff (Casey Affleck) in the 1950s as he juggles his girlfriend Amy (Kate Hudson) and the prostitute he falls for (Jessica Alba) with his savage sociopathic tendencies. When the cast of “The Killer Inside Me” hit the red carpet on Tuesday at the Tribeca Film Festival, it seemed all the buzz was about the noir flick’s violence. Jessica Alba, who plays the prostitute lover of Casey Affleck’s character, was ready to defend any criticism that the violence might be gratuitous. ”Just getting into the head of someone who’s so connected to her darkness … she’s quite a dark person, and she certainly instigated the darkness in Casey and provokes him to channel that,” Alba told MTV News at the premiere. “It is violent against men and women, and [Casey's character is] a violent, cowardly person. This is fiction. … If you tried to depict it in a beautiful way, it wouldn’t be true to what it is. It’s a terrible thing.” The film, about a small-town sheriff who gives in to his sociopathic tendencies, also stars Kate Hudson, who plays the two-timing Affleck’s girlfriend. Hudson said she was delighted to be cast again alongside Affleck, whom she co-starred with in the 1999 ensemble flick “200 Cigarettes.” The actress called her scenes with Affleck in “Killer” “difficult,” but said the pair couldn’t get along better offscreen. “To work with Casey again … we’ve known each other a long time,” she said. “[We] grew up together basically in the business. It’s nice.” Affleck, the flick’s male lead, said he’d never been a huge fan of the film-noir genre. “It was never a big thing for me,” he said. “Obviously, I like old movies. I like all kinds of movies. There are some people that are real super film-noir geeks, lovers, and I’m not one of those people. I like doing period movies. I love this period [the 1950s], and I actually love that part of the country — we filmed in Oklahoma, and it takes place in west Texas. I find it really fascinating. … It’s a little like fantasy time travel.” We asked Affleck what period he’d like to tackle next. “I really want to do a movie in 2008,” he joked. “I think that would be great. That’d be weird. It was like when the Priuses are just bursting on the scene everywhere. That’d be wild.”
The trailers for “Valentine’s Day” pack a lot of scenes into them. The film has a star-studded cast of at least a dozen A-listers. But while you’ll catch glimpses of Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner kissing on the football field, Ashton Kutcher proposing to Jessica Alba, and Anne Hathaway straddling Topher Grace in bed, you won’t see any signs of a major gay storyline in the film. The heads of marketing over at Warner Bros. chose to disguise it instead.
“Hangover” star Bradley Cooper, who also stars in the upcoming macho actioner “The A-Team,” gets plenty of face time in the promos with Julia Roberts. They even share some warm looks and coy smiles. But Cooper is actually playing a gay man who has a closeted Football player boyfriend, played by “McSteamy” himself Eric Dane. But you wouldn’t know this from any of the trailers. In fact, Dane doesn’t appear in the trailers at all except for his name and photo when running through the cast list. However, you will see scenes of every other cast member in the film worth noting. “Valentine’s Day,” with its gay storyline in tact, will hit theaters on February 11th. The film also stars Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Biel, Patrick Dempsey, Emma Roberts, Shirley McLaine, and more.
Chinese Woman To Undergo Plastic Surgery To Look Like Jessica Alba. A Chinese woman, whose boyfriend broke up with her after she refused to look like Jessica Alba, is planning to undergo plastic surgery to look like the Hollywood actress to win him back. Xiaoqing, 21, said a plastic surgeon in Shanghai will do the facial change for free. The surgeon, Liu Qi of the Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital, said the operation will require lifting the woman’s eyebrow, reshaping her eyelid and reconstructing her nose. Once the surgery is done, the new face will be permanent, according to Liu. The couple broke up after she threw away a wig given by her boyfriend so she would look like Alba
The dancer-turned-actress Jennifer Morrison made her film debut in the movie “Intersection.” She has also starred in “Urban legends Final Cut” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” but she currently has a role on the Fox drama “House.” The actress was born August 19, 1979, in Chicago and has dated co-star Jesses Spencer. An actress who first earned her critical laurels (and reeled in a substantial television fanbase) as Dr. Alison Cameron on the blockbuster medical drama House (2004), Jennifer Morrison grew up well outside the realm of Hollywood, in a middle-class family in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois. As a preteen and teenager, Morrison entered showbusiness via modeling, appearing in innumerable print campaigns and gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids at one point; after wrapping up high school, she attended Loyola University as a theater major (reportedly graduating in only three years) and subsequently trained with the legendary Steppenwolf theatrical ensemble, onetime home to such stars as John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, and Glenne Headly. From there, Hollywood fame was merely a short leap away; by the time of her Loyola graduation, Morrison had already officially debuted onscreen, with a small part as the daughter of Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in the psychological drama Intersection (1994) and a more significant role as a missing girl who psychically haunts Kevin Bacon in the supernatural thriller Stir of Echoes (1999). Morrison signed for her first lead with a role that many felt unworthy of her talents and intelligence: that of Amy Mayfield, a young film student who gets in way over her head amid a thesis project on urban legends, in John Ottman’s slasher outing Urban Legends: The Final Cut (2000). Subsequent projects included Michael Davis’s teen-oriented romantic comedy 100 Women (2002), Casey La Scala’s teen comedy Grind (2003), and — as something of a nadir — the critically despised holiday gross-out fest Surviving Christmas (2004), in which she played Ben Affleck’s snotty girlfriend. As indicated, House represented Morrison’s breakthrough and the role that finally brought her public attention. The long-running Fox drama told of Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), a diagnostician with an astounding degree of medical knowledge and an absolute dearth of social skills. As Dr. Cameron (an immunologist with a not-so-secret crush on the physician), Morrison brought a much-needed dose of warmth and vulnerability to the series. Morrison subsequently made headlines in 2007, when she was tapped to appear as Winona Kirk, James T. Kirk’s mother, in J.J. Abrams’s much-anticipated 11th installment of the Star Trek series.

“Fashion fan and skinny girl, Jessica Alba might have found a way around the boredom,” StyleDash reports. “Alba, who apparently shuns diets and personal trainers, has taken up a Nintendo Wii workout.”
Sounds like a lot more fun than running on a treadmill while staring at the wall.
“Nintendo Wii is the must-have video game console that works up a sweat. (Yep, a gaming system that isn’t associated with sitting on your behind wasting the day away.) Nintendo Wii isn’t just for dudes either. With Wii tennis and Wii boxing you can burn about 560 calories per hour. Nintendo is even coming out with a new game called Wii Fit that will be just like having a personal trainer.”
