Julian Perretta is 19 years old. He has recently signed a seven figure, five album, worldwide recording deal to Columbia Records, Sony BMG. Bastard. I want to hate this man. Unfortunately that is impossible, as not only are his wonderfully crafted pop gems infectious, he is also polite and pleasant in the most genial way.
After Julian left the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he hooked up with Jamiroquai keyboardist and guitarist, Matt Johnson and Rob Harris. Things started to steamroll and he was taken on by Girls Aloud manager Hillary Shaw. The A&R scramble was intense and eventually Sony sealed the deal. Earlier this year, Julian toured with Mark Ronson as part of his European tour and he has more live shows in the pipeline. He is currently recording his album which is expected to drop early 2009. Will this boy be a superstar? http://www.myspace.com/julianperrettamusic
