Editors ‘You Don’t Know Love’ video released

Following the Europe wide success of their third album (‘In This Light and On This Evening’ debuted in the UK album charts at #1 and was a top 10 hit in 5 European countries) EDITORS have assembled a cast of internationally renowned filmmakers to unleash the video for new single ‘You Don’t Know Love’ out 25th January. ‘YDKL’ was directed by Arni & Kinski – the Icelanders behind EDITORS ‘Smokers Outside the Hospital Door’ video, who’ve also worked with Sigor Ros, Iggy Pop, Travis and many more. Hotshot cinematographer and Jim Jarmusch collaborator Christopher Doyle was at the helm of the shoot. Doyle is a highly acclaimed, AFI Award-winning cinematographer. He has won, amongst other accolades, the Cannes Technical Grand Prize, Golden Osella, the Golden Horse awards (four times), and Hong Kong Film Award (six times).’You Don’t Know Love’ will be released on January 25th, described by The Guardian in a four star album review as ‘an unsettling ode to decaying affection’ and ‘bleakly haunting’ is a glacial ballad illustrative of the album’s innovative reinvention of the band’s sound.  Watch the video now at the internet TV  live stream on RTV Channel

Cloudmachine finds its way to a larger audience

Cloudmachine - Back on LandSome critics regard Ruud Houweling as one of Hollands best songwriters. The music of Cloudmachine, in which according to OOR (leading Dutch music magazine) the entire history of popmusic is compressed with influences like John Lennon, David Bowie, Neil Finn, Radiohead and the classical music of Arvo Pärt, slowly finds its way to a larger audience.  Their first two albums received a warm welcome by the Dutch music press. Blur and David Bowie avatars to appear in Lego rock band

legorockbandDamon Albarn and co have gone from Blur to blocks … after being recreated in Lego.  The band, who reunited for a series of dates this summer, have been given a Lego makeover for a new video game.  The characters are complete with bass player Alex James’s foppish fringe, Albarn’s Parklife-era tracksuit top and guitarist Graham Coxon’s geek-chic glasses.  The band are among a number of Continue reading
