Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
As if everyone wasn’t already talking about the release of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in theaters next week, even the trailers appearing beforehand are newsworthy. Among them is the highly-anticipated full trailer for another insanely popular book adaptation. The first official trailer for the first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will run in front of prints of “Eclipse.” The trailer, which is different from the preview shown during the recent “MTV Movie Awards,” will premiere online on Monday, June 28th before being seen on the big screen beginning Wednesday, June 30th. Also rumored to be premiering in front of “Eclipse” is the teaser trailer for the sequel to last year’s horror hit, “Paranormal Activity.” According to Bloody Disgusting, sources say the first glimpse of “Paranormal Activity 2″ will preview before the new “Twilight” sequel. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” hits theaters on November 19th. “Paranormal Activity 2″ hits theaters on October 22nd.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and the rest of the cast of the blockbuster “Harry Potter” series were on hand for the grand opening celebration of the highly-anticipated new addition to the Universal Orlando Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Radcliffe led a crowd of thousands into casting the Lumos spell to illuminate Hogwarts Castle and its surroundings and begin an awe-inspiring fireworks finale accompanied by “Harry Potter” film clip projections and music. Also on hand were recent MTV Movie Award winner Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, Bonnie Wright, James and Oliver Phelps, and Matt Lewis. Warwick Davis, who plays Professor Flitwick, conducted a performance by the Frog Choir of Hogwarts. Film composer John Williams, best known for scoring the unforgettable themes to films like “Jurassic Park,” “Star Wars,” and the “Harry Potter” films, led the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra into compositions from the “Harry Potter” soundtracks. “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling was also in attendance and walked down the red carpet into the theme park. She worked closely with the members of Universal Creative and engineers to create the new themed land, including the signature “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” attraction, as well as the taste of Butterbeer, and merchandising. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, located within Universal’s acclaimed Islands of Adventure theme park, officially opens to guests today, June 18th.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has 94% positive reviews
No Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince review will stop it at the box office, as Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince reviews are for the definition of a critic-proof film. But the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Reviews Among Best in SeriesHarry Potter and the Half Blood Prince reviews should help Potter fans to get more hyped up, or to lower their expectations. Many a Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince review hails it as the best in the series, though other reviews say it is just a time filler. However, the vast majority of reviews do come down on the positive side. In fact, the review total for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the most positive one of the series on Rotten Tomatoes. Currently, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has 94% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and is the first of the Harry Potter series to go over 90%. The previous high marks were set by Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. Many Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince reviews are raves, praising the movie for its increased darkness, its themes of teenaged love and growing up, and its tragedy. Director David Yates is said to have improved over his debut in Order of the Phoenix, which had a mere 77% positive review count on Rotten Tomatoes. Young actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are again praised for their chemistry as Harry, Ron and Hermione. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince also once again brings half of the British screen actors guild together, though only a few have anything to do – but those few, like Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman and Harry Potter newcomer Jim Broadbent – are also heavily praised in reviews. The Rotten Tomatoes consensus for the Half Blood Prince reviews reads “Dark, thrilling, and occasionally quite funny, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is also visually stunning and emotionally satisfying.” However, not every positive review is a rave. There are some Half Blood Prince reviews that are more reserved, saying that the film is too talky, that the romantic angle takes up too much time, and nothing really happens until the big finale.
