Disturbed debut at number one in America

Disturbed debut at number one in America. Disturbed debuting at number one in America is hardly surprising. What is surprising is that they do it with virtually no radio or television support. Disturbed is your classic online, fan base driven band. ‘Asylum’ is the 4th consecutive Disturbed album to debut at number one in America and they did it with this, their fifth album. Disturbed communicate with their fan base totally online. Radio doesn’t want to know about them but 171,000 fans thought enough to open their wallets to ‘Asylum’ last week. Sales for ‘Asylum’ where more than two to one what Katy Perry did in her second week and more than 80,000 in front of Eminem ‘Recovery’. Other debuts this week in America were Lyfe Jennings ‘I Still Believe’ at 6, Goo Goo Dolls ‘Something For The Rest Of Us’ at 7, Heart ‘Red Velvet Car’ at 10, 10 Years ‘Feeding The Wolves’ at 17 and Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses ‘Junky Star’ at 19.
