Idlewild's U.S. tour cancelled due to guitarist injury
Idlewild’s U.S. tour cancelled due to guitarist injury. Idlewild’s U.S. tour dates have been cancelled due to an injury to Rod Jones. The guitarist recently broke his collarbone in an unfortunate accident and is unable to perform. “Myself and the rest of the band are absolutely gutted that we won’t be able to do these shows at this time,” Jones said. “I know this is a disappointment to some of you who have been patiently waiting for five years to see us there and it is a feeling we share with you as a band. Again I’d like to extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies and hope to see you some time in the near future.” The revered Scottish folk-punk outfit was due to make their long-awaited return to the U.S. to perform shows on the East and West Coasts in support of their recently released sixth studio LP, Post Electric Blues. The album is currently available via the Nice Music Group.

Nancy O'Dell Named Mary Hart's Replacement On "Entertainment Tonight"
Nancy O’Dell Named Mary Hart’s Replacement On “Entertainment Tonight”. Mary Hart’s replacement has been named. Former “Access Hollywood” host Nancy O’Dell will take the place of the Hart’s about to be vacated seat on “Entertainment Tonight.” O’Dell said in a statement, “I remember watching Entertainment Tonight when it first premiered and dreaming about working for the show someday! It is the original and the gold standard of entertainment news show.” “Needless to say, I am thrilled that my dream has come true. I have greatly admired the show and the incomparable and esteemed Mary Hart – her quiet power and professionalism are beyond admirable. I am honored to be the one chosen to fill a TV legend’s seat and I hope I can ‘do her proud!’” In August, Hart announced her plans to leave the entertainment TV news program after almost 30 years in 2011. The current season is her last. And although she said that leaving the job she held for three decades is “not an easy decision,” Hart takes comfort in knowing that she will pass the baton to O’Dell, whom she calls a “talented and respected entertainment correspondent.” “We have spent many years working on opposite sides of the celebrity battlefield and I know the show will flourish with Nancy as co-anchor.”O’Dell will take on the role in January alongside co-host Mark Steines.
