Halle Berry is speaking nice again about ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry. Months after her rep told the public that she has “serious concerns” for 3-year-old daughter Nahla’s wellbeing while in Gabriel’s care, she is now back to saying nice things about him.

Back in January, Halle’s rep claimed that the actress has serious concerns for Nahla while in Gabriel’s extended care. When that statement went out, the public drew their own conclusion as to what she meant by that, which is probably what Halle wanted all along.

And while various rumors surfaced allegedly coming from both camp after her statement, Halle never officially talked about her custody battle with the French-Canadian model. But now, the 43-year-old actress has opened up about the court proceedings without disclosing any detail.

She told Extra, “It’s been a year full of challenges. When there’s a child involved, it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents.”

“But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help s work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place… because for her sake, this is the best way.”

“We both love her more than life.”
