Hot Chip help out Crisis

hot-chipLeading artists including Hot Chip, Filthy Dukes, and indie legends Dodgy and The Bluetones are joining forces to perform at a series of hidden gigs throughout London to support Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people.   The gigs will launch with an exclusive performance from Hot Chip and special guests on Tuesday 5 May 2009.   Indie legends Dodgy and The Bluetones will also be taking to a secret stage on Sunday 17 May 2009 plus dates for acts including the Filthy Dukes, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Pipettes to be announced soon along with other exciting artists. The series of nine Hidden Gigs throughout May and June will be a fantastic opportunity to see top acts in intimate, unusual spaces, making for a unique musical experience. The big twist is that the venues will remain hidden until the day of the gig, when a text or email message will be sent to the ticket holders revealing its location. By withholding details until the last minute, Crisis aims to raise awareness of the precarious situation facing hidden homeless people, who often don’t know where they will end up each night and are often forced to move from place to place.

Tickets go on sale now from www.crisis.org.uk/hidden
