MTV VJ Lenay Dunn Honored At TheFrisky.com Party At The Gates

MTV VJ Lenay Dunn Honored At TheFrisky.com Party At The Gates. New MTV VJ Lenay Dunn was honored at the Wodka Vodka-sponsored “Celebs to Watch” event. It was hosted by TheFrisky.com and held at The Gates. After living in L.A. from January to July 2009, moving back to her hometown of Fridley, MN, getting married, then moving with her new husband to Nashville in August, she submitted a video and was asked to audition for an MTV2 show. MTV2 did not cast her, but casting directors at MTV saw the video and interviewed her for a new MTV show, which she started hosting in May 2010. Lenay currently hosts the show, called “10 on Top,” a show that follows the top 10 talked about celebrities of the week. The show airs on Saturdays at 11:30 am (ET). She was also filmed in a dozens of MTV short films called “Summer Wraps.” Also at Dunn’s party were “Project Runway” Season 8 outcast Nicholas D’Aurizio who talked to TheFrisky.com Editor-in-Chief Amelia McDonell-Parry that he thought early on that Gretchen Jones would be the winner of the fashion design competition show. “She seemed to be the judges’ favorite from her very first outfit, which wasn’t anything special,” D’Aurizio said. “In my opinion, and in most other people’s, Mondo should have won. First and foremost ‘Project Runway’ is a television show. There were people like Gretchen who were really nice and friendly to everyone while the cameras were on, but as soon as they turned off, those same people were at everyone else’s throat.” “Gretchen was particularly duplicitous in this way,” D’Aurizio added. “And then there was Ivy. At first I thought she’d be one of the nicer ones, but it only took an hour or two of filming for me to realize, ‘Oh, she’s a bitch.’”

Leonardo DiCaprio Nabs Serial Killer Role For New Flick. Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play one of the first documented serial killers in the U.S. The “Inception” star has nabbed the screen rights to Erik Larson’s 2003 non-fiction book “The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that Changed America,” which tells the story of serial killer Dr. HH Holmes. The actor will play the murderer who is believed to have murdered 27 to 200 people in Chicago in the late 19th century.  Holmes, born Herman Webster Mudgett, constructed The World’s Fair Hotel for the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893. He used the inn to lure and murder his guests. He confessed to 27 murders and 6 attempted murders, though the number was believed to reach higher. He was hanged in 1896. DiCaprio acquired the screen rights through his Appian Way shingle with partner Jennifer Killoran and Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher from Double Features.
