Victoria, David Beckham welcome their first daughter Harper Seven

David and Victoria Beckham welcomed their fourth child over the weekend, but it’s lucky number Seven for the superstar couple.

It’s the very first baby girl for the Beckhams, who are already parents to three boys: Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6.

Harper Seven Beckham was born on Sunday Morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, weighing in at (what else?) 7 lbs. 10 oz.

So where did the name Harper Seven come from? Does Victoria have a favorite magazine, like Harper’s Bazaar which she’s often covered? Is Seven inspired by David’s jersey number for Manchester United?

Not quite. A rep for the couple tells People that Victoria always loved the old English name Harper and Seven, of course, is a very lucky number.

Victoria’s lucky too that after four tries, she finally has a daughter and an heiress to her highly stylish fashion designs.

David Beckham and his son were all right after being involved in a car accident on a freeway in Los Angeles. The soccer star rear-ended another car on Friday. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital. TMZ reports that Victoria Beckham’s husband was driving a black Cadillac on the 405 Freeway near Torrance, CA, Friday morning when he bumped a gold Mitsubishi that was broken down in the carpool lane.

The driver of the other vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time, but had to be taken to the hospital.

Beckham and his eldest son, 12-year-old Brooklyn, were both not injured.

“Mr. Beckham’s black Cadillac SUV collided with the rear of a gold Mitsubishi in the carpool lane,” California Highway Patrol spokesperson Jennifer Connolly told People magazine, adding that the driver of the Mitsubishi complained of minor neck pain.

Beckham was not arrested or cited on the scene.

The former Spice Girl has a two-year-old daughter Scarlet with her property developer partner Thomas Starr and she insists having a child freed her always worrying about herself and her career.  She said: ‘Being a mum has made me a better person. I’m really mellow, more confident and more unselfish.  ‘Before Scarlet, especially working in such an appearance-conscious profession, everything was about me, me, me. It was all, ‘I’ve got to go to the gym, I’ve got to take care of myself and wear nice clothes.’

‘t’s a relief to have somebody else who becomes your priority. In a way it takes the pressure off you as an individual. It makes you so much happier and she’s made me feel more confident.’

Mel, 37, now can’t remember her life before Scarlet and is still staggered by how much happiness the little girl has brought to her and 43-year-old Thomas.

She added: ”m truly having a ball now this little person is in my life. She gives me so much joy but it has really surprised me how much having her has affected and changed me.’

Three of Mel’s former Spice Girls bandmates are currently pregnant. Mel B is having her third child; Victoria Beckham who is having her fourth child with husband David Beckham; and Emma Bunton, who is expecting her second child with her fiance Jade Jones.
