The Black Crowe’s Chris Robinson Thinks Taylor Swift Is “Horrible”. Taylor Swift’s fans will no undoubtedly take up arms against The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson after they learn that he has called her “horrible.” Kate Hudson’s ex-husband doesn’t think the 20-year-old country pop star is talented. The 43-year-old rocker took issue with the country sweetheart, saying she may be cute, but that’s all that she is. He told our source , “I find it embarrassing that adults are like, ‘Taylor Swift is very talented.’ She’s not. She might be cute, but she’s horrible.” Clearly, many critics don’t agree with him. Swift, who was famously interrupted by Kanye West during her Best Female Video acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs last year, has won four Grammy trophies, six American Music Awards wins, and five CMT Music Awards just to name a few. It’s not just Swift, though. Robinson also can’t stand modern musicians because he says the computers are doing all the work for them. The long-haired, beard-wearing singer said, “They have stylists who dress them, they make records with producers who play a chord into the computer and it all comes out the same… When you have computers doing it all for you… there’s no individuality. Singing isn’t always about being on key; it’s about emotionality.”

Two tracks, ‘I Should Have Sent Roses’ and and the first single ‘If It Wasn’t For The Bad’ have been released online via the Elton John Corporation. ‘The Union’ was recorded live in the studio and covers multiple music genres like gospel, soul, country, pop and rock. It was produced by T-Bone Burnett. The album marks a unique collabo ation with the two musicians who met when Leon attended Elton’s show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in 1970. “In the late ’60s and early ’70s, the one piano player and vocalist who influenced me more than anybody else was Leon Russell,” Elton said in a statement. “He was my idol.” The pair toured together soon after but then lost touch for decades. “Elton called to ask if I would do a duet album with him,” Russell said. “I’m very happy that he chose me to do this.” The duelling piano players will perform together on November 3, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium. ‘The Union’ album will be released on October 19.
Academy Award-winning Gwyneth Paltrow has gone country. Gwyneth Paltrow Releases Country Single

It’s simply for her role as Kelly Canter, a washed-up, out-of-rehab country singer try to make a musical comeback in the upcoming movie “Country Strong.” The song, “Country Strong,” has been serviced to radio under Kelly Canter, while plenty have started to catch on that it’s actually just clever marketing for the upcoming movie, which also stars country star Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund, and Leighton Meester. “I won’t stay down long / Because I’m country strong,” Paltrow croons on the track, which features Vince Gill and Patty Griffin on background vocals. It’s the first single from the soundtrack to “Country Strong,” set to be released on RCA Nashville on October 26 and will likely feature even more Paltrow/Canter cuts. To further blur the lines between fact and fiction, RCA has already set up a website for Paltrow’s Kelly character, as well as MySpace and Facebook pages. The movie, “Country Strong,” will hit theaters on December 22nd.

Carrie Underwood had a big night ahead of her last Sunday at the Grammy Awards, but the bride-to-be seemed to have only one thing on her mind: her upcoming “I Do” to hockey star Mike Fisher. Underwood, who won Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for “I Told You So” with Randy Travis, told Life & Style magazine on the red carpet that although they haven’t set a date for the wedding yet, she already has a clear idea of what her dress would look like. The…-year-old “Idol” champ said, “I want it to be pretty traditional. I think I want flowers on it – not real flowers. [The designer will] probably be someone I’ve worked with before.” For the wedding, Fisher said he wants it to be a “good size wedding with plenty of good food and an open bar.” He told the magazine, “But nothing too overblown. It’s still in the planning stages, so a lot of the details haven’t been finalized,” adding that his future wife will be involved in a lot of the details while he will “just be showing up.” After dating for over a year, the 29-year-old Ottawa Senators NFL player and the country music superstar got engaged in December 2009.

Gibson Custom announced a guitar fit for every sharp dressed man, the Billy Gibbons Pearly Gates Limited Edition Les Paul Standard. And now you can own it. Billy Gibbons’ favorite axe has always been his beloved Pearly Gates – a rare 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard with legendary angelic qualities.
It has appeared on every track of every ZZ Top album to date, and sings with a ‘God-like voice’ unlike any other guitar. And now, the master craftsmen at Gibson Custom have recreated it in excruciating detail – right down to the last scratch and ding. Gibbons’ legendary Pearly Gates – a rare 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard – is like no other guitar in the world. The Gibson Custom Shop and Billy Gibbons himself took painstaking steps to make sure the replica of this sacred instrument is true to its every form. There are three different models, all in very limited quantities. Gibbons was a young musician weaned on blues and rock in Texas. After years of listening to such greats as Eric Clapton, Gibbons began his search for his first Les Paul guitar. His search included a ’58 Flying V but the guitar that he was destined to find and nickname ‘Pearly Gates’ was a ’59 Les Paul. It didn’t come to Gibbons right away but through a girlfriend, a thirties model Packard automobile and part in a movie. Gibbons notes that in the early days of the band they acquired a Packard automobile. It was a huge vehicle that caused a stir on the road. Not long after they acquired the vehicle one of their girlfriends needed a way to get to California to try out for a movie part. The band gave her the Packard to get there and the girlfriend got the part. Thinking the car had special powers, they named it ‘Pearly Gates.’ Later the girlfriend sold the car to a collector and sent the money to the band. The money arrived the same day Gibbons got an offer to buy an old guitar, a ’59 Sunburst Les Paul, he bought it. After calling the girlfriend to discuss the circumstances both agreed that the money went for a good cause and since it came from the Packard they decided to keep the name ‘Pearly Gates’ for the guitar and the rest is history. Billy continues to make divine music to this day on the legendary instrument. The ’59 Gibson Les Paul is one of the most desirable guitars today.
The Billy Gibbons ‘Pearly Gates’ Les Paul Standard will be produced in a very limited quantity of only 350 guitars – 250 will receive Gibson Custom’s patented V.O.S. finish, 50 will be aged to look exactly like the original Pearly Gates, and another 50 will aged and personally signed and played by Gibbons himself.

Lady GaGa wouldn’t be American Idol judge LADY GAGA has vowed never to sit on the American Idol judging panel, because it isn’t her job to tell wannabe singers if they have what it takes. The Just Dance pop sensation got her start in the music industry writing songs for established acts such as Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls before carving out a successful solo career. And her slow rise to the top has shown her she could never take part in auditioning artists on a TV talent show, insisting every musician has the right to try for stardom. She said: “I’ve never been asked to be a judge, but I wouldn’t say yes if I was. “I don’t believe it’s right to judge music. It’s so personal. Right now I’m possessed with this incredible instinctual energy to write joyous melodies. I don’t know where it’s coming from.”
