The Black Crowe’s Chris Robinson Thinks Taylor Swift Is “Horrible”. Taylor Swift’s fans will no undoubtedly take up arms against The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson after they learn that he has called her “horrible.” Kate Hudson’s ex-husband doesn’t think the 20-year-old country pop star is talented. The 43-year-old rocker took issue with the country sweetheart, saying she may be cute, but that’s all that she is. He told our source , “I find it embarrassing that adults are like, ‘Taylor Swift is very talented.’ She’s not. She might be cute, but she’s horrible.” Clearly, many critics don’t agree with him. Swift, who was famously interrupted by Kanye West during her Best Female Video acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs last year, has won four Grammy trophies, six American Music Awards wins, and five CMT Music Awards just to name a few. It’s not just Swift, though. Robinson also can’t stand modern musicians because he says the computers are doing all the work for them. The long-haired, beard-wearing singer said, “They have stylists who dress them, they make records with producers who play a chord into the computer and it all comes out the same… When you have computers doing it all for you… there’s no individuality. Singing isn’t always about being on key; it’s about emotionality.”

Elton John and Leon Russell collaboration first listen. Songs from the upcoming Leon Russell and Elton John collaboration `The Union` have started hitting the web.  Two tracks, ‘I Should Have Sent Roses’ and and the first single ‘If It Wasn’t For The Bad’ have been released online via the Elton John Corporation. ‘The Union’ was recorded live in the studio and covers multiple music genres like gospel, soul, country, pop and rock. It was produced by T-Bone Burnett. The album marks a unique collabo ation with the two musicians who met when Leon attended Elton’s show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in 1970. “In the late ’60s and early ’70s, the one piano player and vocalist who influenced me more than anybody else was Leon Russell,” Elton said in a statement. “He was my idol.” The pair toured together soon after but then lost touch for decades. “Elton called to ask if I would do a duet album with him,” Russell said. “I’m very happy that he chose me to do this.” The duelling piano players will perform together on November 3, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium. ‘The Union’ album will be released on October 19.

You may or may not remember her flop dramedy “Duets,” but her cover of Smokey Robinson’s “Cruisin’” with Huey Lewis actually became a #1 adult contemporary hit. Now, she has gone country. While reports are saying she’s releasing a country album, don’t hang up those boots just yet, Jessica Simpson. It’s simply for her role as Kelly Canter, a washed-up, out-of-rehab country singer try to make a musical comeback in the upcoming movie “Country Strong.” The song, “Country Strong,” has been serviced to radio under Kelly Canter, while plenty have started to catch on that it’s actually just clever marketing for the upcoming movie, which also stars country star Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund, and Leighton Meester. “I won’t stay down long / Because I’m country strong,” Paltrow croons on the track, which features Vince Gill and Patty Griffin on background vocals. It’s the first single from the soundtrack to “Country Strong,” set to be released on RCA Nashville on October 26 and will likely feature even more Paltrow/Canter cuts. To further blur the lines between fact and fiction, RCA has already set up a website for Paltrow’s Kelly character, as well as MySpace and Facebook pages.   The movie, “Country Strong,” will hit theaters on December 22nd.
