The Spinto Band to release ‘Slim & Slender’
Brevity, soul and wit: some of the hallmarks of the Spinto Band’s latest forthcoming release ‘Slim & Slender’ – the Delaware native sextet’s self-recorded debut. A succinctly stated 4 song package, this EP serves as a precursor to the self-recorded LP to follow in 2010. These four songs were so good and immediately exciting that the band’s label, Park The Van Records, wanted to get this collection of tracks out as quickly as possible, opting for 10″ vinyl and a digital download commercial release, landing October 6th 2009. In support of Slim & Slender, The Spinto Band will headline a Park The Van Fall Continue reading
Days Difference Joining All Time Low Tour, Release New Single
DAYS DIFFERENCE will be joining All Time Low on a short U.S. tour starting July 9th in Richmond, VA. The pop rock quartet recently signed with Universal Motown who fell for the band’s infectious material which has listeners comparing them to the likes of The Fray and Something Corporate. Originally formed in 2004, Days Difference spent several years honing their propulsive pop sound by opening for artists such as Paramore, Lifehouse, Third Eye Blind, Jack’s Mannequin, and Yellowcard when those artists came through Virginia Beach. In 2007, they released an independent album, Numbers, then embarked on a nationwide tour, in which everything that could have gone wrong did: a tire on their trailer fell off, a show was canceled when the promoter got hit by a car, Jonathan got a concussion playing soccer, Micah broke his collarbone playing football, they received a $500 parking ticket, and to top it all off, the owner of the club where the band were to play one of their final dates died on the day of the show. “I never really believed the whole ‘earn your keep’ thing, but we’ve really paid our dues,” Jeremy says. The tour may have been grueling, but “it taught us a lot,” Jeremy says. “We really grew as a band and as friends. We had some tough times, but we never doubted ourselves.” You can hear that confidence and camaraderie in the songs on their debut album, an all-killer, no filler set that brims with fresh-faced enthusiasm and the wide-ranging talent of this young group of musicians. To help bring out their best, the band’s team enlisted the talents of several veteran co-writers and producers, including Wayne Wilkins (Beyoncé, Natasha Bedingfield), Andrew Frampton (Natasha Bedingfield, Kylie Minogue), Stefanie Ridel Fair (Fergie, Pussycat Dolls), Michael Smidi Smith (Pussycat Dolls, Tupac), and Tim Myers, former bassist for OneRepublic. Myers and Jeremy co-wrote four key tracks: the irresistible first single “Radio Song,” the touching ballad “Imperfections,” and the radio-ready “Falling Into You” and “Magnetized.”
The band just released “Radio Song,” their first single since being signed which they’ll be filming a video for later this week.
Days Difference will be released in fall 2009 on Universal Motown Records.

Paramore preps ‘brand new’ release
Paramore is preparing to release its third album, “brand new eyes” on Sept. 29 via Fueled By Ramen. The Nashville group – who sounds nothing like Nasheville — tapped superstar producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock, My Chemical Romance) to man the decks. The set’s first single “Ignorance” will be released to radio at the beginning of next month and will go up for sale on iTunes, Amazon and all other digital stores on July 7. Pre-sales for the record also goes up on July 7 via the band’s website. “brand new eyes” will be released as a normal CD as well as a doozy of a deluxe version, limited to 15,000, which “includes the album on CD, a 40-page hardcover journal with Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams’ handwritten lyrics and notes on the album, a color vinyl 7″ single with four acoustic songs, a DVD featuring an exclusive making-of documentary (with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, the ‘Ignorance’ music video and making-the-video footage, plus rare band vignettes from www.paramore.net), a 16-page full-color booklet, an exclusive Paramore poster, five limited edition collectible Paramore photos printed on hardstock paper, and a numbered certificate of authenticity” according to a release from Atlantic. Whoosh. “brand new eyes” is the follow-up to Paramore’s breakthrough set “RIOT!,” released in 2007. The group gained even more exposure as its track “Decode” was included on the soundtrack to “Twilight.” However, as the band told Billboard, fans shouldn’t expect any Paramore songs on the “New Moon” soundtrack. “We don’t want to be, like, the vampire house band,” drummer Zac Farro explains. “It was really fun to be a part of that, and great exposure, but I think ‘Twilight’ was it for us. We don’t want to seem like we’re trying to get in every single movie they put out.” The band has been previewing new material as it has been opening for No Doubt on the road, now through the beginning of August. They are also scheduled to air an “MTV Unplugged” special in September.
Here is the tracklist to “brand new eyes”:
1. Careful

3. Playing God

5. Turn It Off
