“Glee” To Release Christmas Album In November. “Glee” just released their “Rocky Horror Glee Show” EP, featuring music from their tribute to the cult favorite just in time for Halloween. But the cast of “Glee” is already getting in the holiday spirit as well. The group is set to release their very first Christmas album, appropriately titled “Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album.” The album will feature a dozen holiday standards performed by the cast, who’s already taken on Britney Spears and Barbra Streisand this season. According to Tommy2.net, “Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album” will feature covers of the perennial Wham! hit “Last Christmas,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “We Need a Little Christmas,” originated by Angela Lansbury in the musical “Mame.” The group’s first holiday album will also include a version of the Carpenters’ “Merry Christmas Darling,” and oft-covered classics like “O Holy Night,” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” The album is set to coincide with an upcoming holiday episode, which creator Ryan Murphy began discussing earlier this year. Another big star, also releasing a holiday album this year, was rumored to be featured: Susan Boyle. “I have two words for you: Lunch. Lady,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly back in May. “I think Kurt would just die to give her a Christmas makeover. I don’t even know if she’s interested but it’s been pitched.” “Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album” is set to be released on November 16th. The accompanying holiday episode will air at a later date.
Mulberry Handbags For Less At Target Starting In October. Target’s latest guest designer arrives just in time for the holidays. Starting Sunday, Oct. 10 all the way through Christmas Eve, handbags designed exclusively for Target by English luxury brand Mulberry will be available. The Mulberry for Target collection features signature Mulberry silhouettes in bold prints, such as pink leopard print, and use different fabrics including denim, black velvet and patent. The collection includes different types of handbags, as well: totes, satchels, cross-body bags and mini messenger bags. This collection arrives at Target just in time as the holiday season approaches. Mulberry was founded in 1971 in Somerset, England, by Roger Saul and his mother. The mother-son designing duo quickly established Mulberry as a British lifestyle brand, starting with handbags, and quickly segueing into womenswear, menswear, women’s footwear and furniture. The British lifestyle brand creates items inspired by heritage and craftsmanship, and is known for its high standards. Therefore, the fact that Mulberry-designed bags will be at Target is huge — women can buy handbags in different materials (patent, denim) but made with high-quality standards. This is the first time Mulberry has collaborated with a less expensive retail store or chain. Collaborating with less expensive chains such as Target and H&M is still the hot thing to do, however; Lanvin is collaborating with H&M for an exclusive collection debuting in November and Valentino is reportedly designing a collection to be sold at the Gap.

Coldplay album delayed until next year. Chris Martin has confirmed there will no longer be a new Coldplay album before the year is out, and that does not make his cash strapped company EMI happy. “There ain’t gonna be a release for Christmas now that is for sure,’ reports coldplaying, com. ‘Chris (Martin) said that although they are close to finishing lots of songs, they have not actually finished anything at all yet… (even Wedding Bells!) and he said there’d be no chance of the album coming out for Christmas. Phil (Harvey) said the same, and that even if they were finished by now, there would not be enough time for EMI to sort all of the “fiddly bits”. Also, I asked about how long the tour would be starting, after the album release, since for Viva it was really soon, and Phil said that they’d leave a slightly longer gap this time.” EMI needs a new Coldplay record desperately. This week, the company fired three major executives in its never-ending attempt to reinvent itself. EMI MUSIC COO RONN WERRE, New Music International Pres. BILLY MANN, and New Music/NORTH AMERICA, U.K. and IRELAND Pres. NICK GATFIELD had their heads chopped off this week. According to coldplaying.com the last two months have not been as completely productive as first imagined. But he also said ‘You can’t rush things like this!’” Coldplay fans will have to wait until 2011 for the fifth Coldplay album since 1999. For the record, the entire Beatles career (and all 13 studio albums), happened over 8 years.
Martha Stewart Talks Her Big Move To The Hallmark Channel Martha Stewart, author, television host, and all-around media mogul and lifestyle guru, is packing up her daytime talk show and moving it to the Hallmark Channel. If there’s anyone who you can trust to relocate their things in perfect condition, it’s Martha Stewart. Stewart debuted her Emmy Award-winning “Martha” back in 2005 which, across its past five seasons, has featured more tips than a needle factory. Her daily edutainment program provided audiences all the cooking and crafting wisdom she’s filled books, magazines, and the heads of millions of eager fans with thirty years ago. For the show’s sixth season, “Martha” is heading to the Hallmark Channel, along with a whole slew of Stewart-branded programming. But Stewart says that for her new home on Hallmark, there’s not much redecorating needed to be done. “There’s no reason to make changes other than total evolution of the show,” Stewart told our source. “We want to be the same wonderful, informative show that we’ve always been with some very exciting new twists.” For half the day, Hallmark essentially becomes the Martha Stewart Network, along with episodes of “From Martha’s Kitchen,” “From Martha’s Home,” and “From Martha’s Garden,” as well as “Everyday Food,” and the new “Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn,” Executive Food Editor at Martha Stewart Living Omnivision. She’s even bringing daughter Alexis Stewart and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt along for the ride. The two Sirius radio personalities, who also hosted the Stewart-skewering show “Whatever Martha,” will head the not-your-mother’s-talk-show “Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer.” But the new franchise Stewart is even more excited about is “Martha Stewart Presents,” a new interview program that will give audiences even more reason to wonder if Stewart and Diane Sawyer are the same person. Stewart will sit down with some of the most fascinating people in entertainment, politics and culture. First up is “The Women Who Dress America,” which features Martha sitting down with female fashion icons Diane Von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Tory Burch and Jenna Lyons. “The four designers are fantastic talent and also very interesting women and I think they come across as such on the program,” Stewart said of the special, which premieres September 19th on Hallmark. “I think they’re going to be pleased and I think their fans are going to be very pleased. They’re presented in a way that you really haven’t seen them before.” With the Hallmark Channel now becoming the home of Martha Stewart, the 69-year-old (can you believe it?) is as confident as ever as she caps off her year with more illustrious projects than ever. Also to look forward to this year are two brand new holiday specials from Stewart featuring the seasonal entertaining tips she’s known for. Who knew about brining your turkey and what a cheesecloth was before Martha? For her two new specials, Stewart takes on Halloween and Christmas with all new craft and cooking ideas. “We just finished our Halloween special and Halloween is one of my very, very favorite times of year,” Stewart said. “I can’t tell you who’s in it but it is the perfect celebrity for Halloween and the stuff we do is just extraordinary and it’s going to be a smashing hit.” “We’re also already working on our Christmas special which you will adore,” Stewart says. “It’s really great and it’ll get you through those holidays.” Don’t whatever Martha. She knows exactly what she’s talking about. “The Martha Stewart Show” debuts on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, September 13th.
Charlie Sheen Set To Return To “Two And A Half Men” Following Rehab Stint. CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men” is set to resume production after shutting down for a couple of weeks to adjust to Charlie Sheen’s spell in rehab. His publicist confirmed that the 44-year-old actor will be back on the set on Tuesday. Sheen entered rehab last month for an undisclosed reason. His rep, Sam Rosenfield, only said he checked into the facility as a “preventive measure.” The production on the Emmy Award-winning show has since been put in hiatus. But before going back to work, Sheen, who was arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly attacking and threatening his wife Brooke Mueller, will appear in an Aspen courtroom on Monday for his arraignment. He was formally charged for the incident last month.
