Chris Brown just went with the flow on his hit song Look At Me Now.
The R&B singer showed off his rap skills on the track that features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.
Chris spontaneously started to rap when he was recording.
‘I didn’t sing on the record at all. It just was a rap song,’ Chris told MTV News.
‘So I was like, ‘Cool, if they going with it, I’m gonna keep going.’ ‘
Chris has since collaborated with other hip hop musicians Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa on a track called Till I Die.
‘With the hip-hop and the rapping, it’s more of – I wouldn’t say [a] hobby – it’s just me expressing myself,’ he explained.
‘I’m not going to sit here and say I’m the best rapper or I’m a rapper. I’m just saying I could do it, I guess, if y’all like it.’
Till I Die was released this April as single from the Chris’ fifth studio album Fortune.
Rihanna is reportedly still ‘obsessed’ with the idea that she’s meant to be with Chris Brown.
The two stars ended their relationship after Chris assaulted Rihanna in 2009. They were seen in the same nightclubs twice over the last few weeks and it is thought that they have grown close again.
It’s been claimed Rihanna engineered both meetings as she is still hung up on her ex.
‘Rihanna has always been obsessed with Chris,’ an insider told the British edition of Grazia. ‘She’s yet to have a proper relationship with anyone since they broke up. She just can’t let go of the idea that they’re meant to be together. It’s like he has some sort of hold over her.’
Chris is still thought to be dating Karrueche Tran, although he is also said to be considering reuniting with Rihanna. Getting over Rihanna fully is struggle for Chris.
‘Chris is in two minds over what to do,’ a source said. ‘He does have feelings for Karrueche but it’s almost like there is some sort of massive pull between him and Rihanna. They have a toxic bond that neither of them seems to be about to let go. He’s absolutely mesmerised every time he sees her.’
If you caught Chris Brown’s performance on Sunday night’s Video Music Awards, he danced, he flew, but he certainly didn’t sing. This seemed to irk celeb blogger Perez Hilton, who called out the controversial star on it via Twitter.
Chris Brown hit the stage for a total dance party mash-up of not only his hits “Yeah 3x” and “Beautiful People,” but also Wu Tang Clan’s “Protect Ya Neck” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Perez Hilton thought Brown should have just ditched the un-used microphone.
“If you’re gonna make it all about the dancing, then GO FOR IT. But don’t insult the viewer and have a microphone and pretend to sing! #Sucks,” said Perez Hilton via tweet.
“@Chris Brown Don’t even bother with the microphone next time! #Weak” Hilton added.
Brown was quick to respond, although he was in the midst of the VMA madness. “@Perezhilton, be a happy person for one day. I know you’re mad that people actually are positive!” Brown tweeted.
Hilton responded to Brown, who’s been a controversial character as of late not only because of his 2009 domestic incident with then-girlfriend Rihanna, but his recent reported violent outbursts like at “Good Morning America.” The self-proclamed Queen of all Media even called the singer a homophobe.
“@chrisbrown, you need to look up the word positive and study! I’m not buying your bulls—! #Homophobe,” Hilton tweeted.
Ouch. We’re guessing Chris Brown, who isn’t known for taking anything sitting down, will respond to that soon too and we’re sure Hilton will either doctor up some photos of the star or, even worse, not mention him on his site at all.
Justin Bieber can’t wait to work on his new album.
The 17-year-old pop superstar recently announced he is taking a month away from music to spend time with his loved ones, including girlfriend Selena Gomez. However, Justin is already showing he is missing his hectic schedule by revealing plans to get into a recording studio to lay down vocals for his next record.
‘more excited than ever to get back in the studio and make this #newalbum. miss the tour and want to give u all new music. ‘ Justin wrote on his Twitter account.
The singer’s manager Scooter Braun recently revealed Justin will be taking a more ‘edgy’ route for his new material and will work with Chris Brown and Kanye West.
Meanwhile, the heartthrob sent fans into a frenzy after making a surprise appearance at Selena’s concert in California last night. Justin joined Selena on stage and hugged the brunette beauty, before launching into a medley of Favourite Girl and Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me a River.
The star was thrilled by the crowd’s reaction to his secret entrance and he also paid tribute to his talented singer-and-actress girlfriend.
‘@selenagomez u did great tonight. proud of u,’ he Tweeted. ‘had a #greatnight and suprised the people. felt good to be on stage. nothing is changing that.
Chris Brown has allegedly been accused of antisocial behaviour including dog racing by his neighbours.
The 22-year-old R&B star resides in swanky West Hollywood, although according to website TMZ relations between the singer and his fellow condo inhabitants are strained.
The publication has obtained images of what appear to be Chris’ flashy fast cars parked in spaces reserved for disabled residents, and has heard of other antics which have angered his neighbours.
‘Chris’ fellow condo-owners tell TMZ… the dude is utterly disrespectful, blasting loud music and partying day and night…even racing dogs down the hallways at all hours,’ reports the website.
With regards to the car parking saga, a building manager has claimed there are plans to tow Chris’ vehicles if he uses a disabled space again.
However, the star’s lawyer Mark Geragos argues it is Chris, who has only been living in the building a few months, who has been treated unfairly. He told the website the deeds state two spaces belong to Chris, and that he was never told they were reserved for disabled drivers. Chris is reportedly in litigation over the parking issue, and apparently also plans to dispute numerous tickets he has received.
There have also been claims that police were investigating vandalism in the building this week. Apparently someone had carved the initials C.B. in the elevator door.
The ‘Do It Like a Dude’ hitmaker refused to let audience members undermine her confidence when she supported Chris Brown in 2009 so came up with a unique way to confront those who didn’t like her music.
She explained: “I remember getting booed one night because everyone wanted to see the main act so I just booed back.
“I said, ‘I’m only here for 10 minutes, so if you like it, scream. If you don’t, boo me but I’ll boo back as loud as you.’ It made them laugh.
“You’ve got to believe in yourself and be confident. That was a great development for me to learn my craft without being in the limelight.”
Jessie originally signed to a US label as a songwriter and had to “beg” to be allowed to release her own music in her native UK before she was launched as an artist Stateside.
She explained to Closer magazine: “I grew up watching ‘Top of the Pops’ and always wanted to be a part of the British music scene. I begged my American label, ‘Please let me release in the UK first.’
“‘Do It Like a Dude’ went to number one in the UK charts for two weeks. I beat Lady Gaga to the top spot in the second week, which was the most indescribable, amazing feat of accomplishment.”
The ‘Kiss Kiss’ hitmaker attacked the 23-year-old singer, his then-girlfriend, in 2009, leaving her with a split lip and a multitude of facial cuts, and his mum ‘ who is a victim of domestic violence of herself ‘ thinks he needs to open up about the situation in order to “move on with his own life”.
Joyce Hawkins told Sister 2 Sister magazine: “I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna, so that he can get that out for himself.
“He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake, it was not good at all. But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life.”
Rihanna recently admitted she doesn’t expect to ever “make up” with the 22-year-old singer but agreed to have the terms of his five-year restraining order against her relaxed as it was stopping him from attending events important to his career.
She said: “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge. We don’t have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally.
“What he did to me was a personal thing. It had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows, that definitely made it difficult for him. That was the only thing it was going to change, so I didn’t care.”
Chris Brown offers up a booty-shaking video for his ‘stripper song’ ‘Spend It All’.
The troubled chart-topping singer introduces a new promo video for the F.A.M.E. track, featuring live footage and some very, voluptuous gyrating derrieres.
He says, ‘As you know, I got the number one album in the country thanks to you guys, F.A.M.E. ‘ Fans Are My Everything. And I appreciate you all. I got the pop songs, I got the urban records. You know I like to do all kinds of music so now I got a strip club record. I would advise 18 and up to watch this.’
So if you’re old enough, and the boss isn’t looking over your shoulder, be mesmerised by all the booty.
The 21-year-old singer will no longer be represented by Tammy Brook ‘ whose clients include former boxer Mike Tyson ‘ as she has reportedly ended their working relationship days after he trashed his dressing room in outrage after being questioned on ‘Good Morning America’ about his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Despite his outburst, Chris ‘ who later accused the show of ‘exploiting’ him as he wasn’t expected to be quizzed over the attack ‘ is reportedly set to be invited back on the programme.
An insider told E! Online: “It’s all about the ratings. At all other costs.”
Following the incident on Tuesday (22.03.11), Chris – who is alleged to have been screaming so loudly that worried hair and make-up personnel called security before he ripped off his shirt and left the building – apologised for his actions and admitted he was ‘disappointed’ in himself.
He said: “I want to apologise to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed at my actions because I was really disappointed in my actions.’
