Alec Baldwin booted from plane for refusing to quit cellphone game. Alec Baldwin was kicked off a flight in Los Angels for playing a game on his cellphone.
The “30 Rock” star was playing a game called “Words with Friends” while the plane idled at the gate on Tuesday.
Apparently, Baldwin loves the game so much he was willing to leave the plane for it. He later boarded another American Airline flight to New York.
The actor, an avid Twitter user, later tweeted, “flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing Word With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving.”
He went on to vent that it just may be his last fight with American. Baldwin tweeted that the airline is “where Catholic gym teachers from the 1950′s find jobs as flight attendants.”
Citing customer privacy, American Airlines, currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, refused to comment.
Ryan Seacrest could replace Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today”
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest could be a possible successor to Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show if Lauer steps down next year.
The talk are preliminary, and they may just be a negotiation tactic for NBC who will need a strong backup plan if Lauer does vacate the coveted co-anchor seat. According to people close to the matter, Seacrest is one of NBC’s top replacement choices.
Ever since Lauer hinted to “Today” executives earlier this year that he was contemplating leaving, NBC executives have been hunting for someone to fill the big shoes.
Seacrest’s deal with NBC-Universal expires in early 2012. He is a busy man. Seacrest currently hosts and produces a daily news show on E! Network, as well as E! red carpet specials.
Neither Lauer or Seacrest would comment on the matter.
Nicki Minaj always wants to ‘experiment’.
The singer is well known for her eccentric style and ever-changing hair colour.
Nicki can’t help but play around with her appearance. She finds it boring to look the same every day.
‘I’ll just wake up and feel I want to try something new and experiment,’ she told the January edition of UK magazine Glamour.
The star also revealed what she respects in her fellow woman.
Nicki likes people to remain realistic and achieve their goals, rather than aim too high and fail.
She believes it is easier to succeed by setting lots of small aims rather than having one huge aspiration.
She is also impressed by women who know their own minds.
‘I appreciate someone who knows what she wants, who sets realistic goals and achieves them,’ she said simply.
Nicki has recently released her new single Roman in Moscow. It is the first track from her upcoming album, which is due to be released next year.
