Stereosonic 2010 festival announces lineup! Now in its 4th year, Stereosonic organisers have unleashed their lineup. 2010 sees several venue changes for Stereosonic in Brisbane and Sydney. The festival will re-locate to Sydney Showgrounds bringing with it no sound issues, a later closing time, ample parking and easy public transport, it comes with state of the art facilities, plenty of green space and no stage capacity issues. In Brisbane, the festival moves from Eagle Farm to the RNA Showgrounds will will enjoy a larger capacity and extra staging. With such a massive lineup in Sydney and Melbourne, organisers have added a 2nd 10,000 capacity stage to cater for the sheer multitude of acts and people. In Melbourne they have opened up another 30% of the Showgrounds space now utilising the entire Melbourne Showgrounds. Stereosonic 2010 boasts its biggest line-up ever featuring:

Radio1 Celebrates 500th Essential Mix at Circus . Liverpool house night Circus will host one of the parties of the year as BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong and a host of superstar guests celebrate the station’s 500th essential mix at the city’s Masque venue.  Pete will be joined by house legend Sasha, a rare appearance from techno favourite Richie Hawtin along with Circus residents Yousef, Lewis Boardman, Alex Wolfenden and Scott Lewis. Since its launch in 1993, the Essential Mix has brought us landmark sets from the worlds biggest DJs including the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Deadmau5, Carl Cox, Pendulum and, of course Pete Tong (on photo).   499 different artists have graced the Essential Mix decks so far and the 500th DJ – voted for by an expert music industry panel – will be exclusively announced on the night and play their set in a special live broadcast to the nation.
