Ashley Tisdale To Star In New “High School Musical” Spin-Off. Some of Disney’s “High School Musical” alumni aren’t ready to leave the singing/dancing franchise behind just yet. The “High School Musical” spin-off is the franchise’s first since “High School Musical 3″ hit theaters in 2008.  “High School Musical 4″ was previously announced but has not yet get gotten off the ground. It was expected to feature an all new cast of Wildcats.  Meanwhile, there’s no word on any of the “High School Musical” stars will join Tisdale on her “Fabulous Adventures,” especially Lucas Grabeel, who played her brother Ryan. Tisdale has kept herself busy with non-Disney projects as well. Last summer she released her second album “Guilty Pleasure,” which was voted one of the best albums of the year by Billboard readers and starred in “Aliens in the Attic.” She’s also signed on to star in the upcoming cheerleading drama “Hellcats” for the CW.
