Beyonce’s firing of her dad as her manager is now believed to be the result of him stealing money from her.
According to legal papers obtained by TMZ, Mathew Knowles is claiming that Live Nation Entertainment made false claims about him to his daughter in the hopes of coming aboard her 2011 world tour.
“I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me,” Beyonce said in a statement on the termination in March.
“I grew up watching both he and my mother [Tina Knowles] manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps,” she added.
While Mr. Knowles denies claims that he stole any money, Beyonce’s law firm conducted an audit that concluded that Knowles had in fact stolen money.
Mr. Knowles has asked a judge to take depositions from Live Nation employees to determine how they arrived at their conclusions.
Beyonce’s most recent album, “4”, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
While “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe has claimed he no longer drinks, his co-star Emma Watson says she’s only been “very, very drunk” once in her life.
The 22-year-old British actress, who appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday in New York City, said she got drunk in England after she turned 18.
“Yes I have tried spirits, we drink at 18 in the U.K. but I’m actually legal to drink here now, it’s worth mentioning. I’m 21,” she said. “Yes, yes I have. I got very, very drunk once in my life as everyone does. Fine, I got drunk, I have been drunk – and I’ll bow to that!”
When Letterman asked if she had ever peed on the subway, Watson replied that it has never gotten to that point.
“Thankfully it’s never been that bad,” she said.
But when the late show host asked if she knew about Radcliffe’s drinking on the set of the “Harry Potter” films, Watson replied: “To be honest, it’s rarely not something that I genially know much about. He ‘s the one to talk about it. But as far as I know, he never took a sick day. He was like the most professional, amazing guy.”
Earlier this month, Radcliffe revealed to GQ magazine that his drinking became an issue on the set of 2009’s “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.” Lucky for him, he said the paparazzi were not around.
“I really got away with that because there were many instances when a paparazzi shot like that could have been taken,” he said. “I became so reliant on alcohol to enjoy stuff.”
The actor, who stars in Broadway’s “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” said drinking was an attempt to cope with his early success.
“There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.”
Radcliffe said he’s been sober for almost a year and prefers to be home than attending movie premieres and parties.
“As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn’t work for me,” he said. “I’d just rather sit at home and read, or go out to dinner with someone, or talk to someone I love, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh.”
Radcliffe and Watson star in the final installment of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” which opens in theatres on July 15.
Katie Holmes says she is under no pressure to have another baby.
In the August issue of InStyle magazine, the 32-year-old actress, who has a five-year-old daughter, Suri, with husband, actor Tom Cruise, said her biggest concern right now is taking care of her daughter.
“I don’t feel pressure to do that. We already have a very big family: a full household with cousins who are over a lot, and she has her friends,” she said. “My biggest thing is making sure she’s fully taken care of and doing well.”
Holmes, who is currently filming “Jack and Jill” with Adam Sandler in Cancun, Mexico, is also stepmother to Cruise’s adopted children, Isabella, 18, and 15-year-old Connor from his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman.
The “Batman Begins” star said she has a lot of hope for Suri’s future.
“I think she’s going to do a lot of different things. She’s an amazing athlete, singer, and dancer, and I think she’ll probably be an actress.”
While she loves being a jet-setting mother, who recently traveled to Miami Beach to celebrate her husband’s 49th birthday, she admitted that it isn’t always glamorous.
“I’ve been thrown up on many times, right in the face.”
The Miami native, whose current hit “Give Me Everything” has sold over two million copies and is number one on Billboards Hot 100 chart, recently told The Boombox in Hollywood, Calif. that he learned a lot by watching Guns “N Roses and Poison.
“Definitely as part of growing up in the ’80s, I seen a lot of the rock bands and the rock shows, whether it was the big hair spray, Def Leppard and Poison, you had the U2, they didn’t have the hair like that. I think they were the ones really living it up, Guns ‘N’ Roses, so yeah, you seen a lot of that.”
While the 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is Armando Chrisitian Perez, considers himself a rock star, don’t expect to catch him doing “rock star-type things.”
“Rock stars could get away with a lot before. There wasn’t a Twitter or Facebook, it wasn’t as real time as it is now,” he explained. “Catch one of your rock stars messing up a hotel room or pissing from a balcony or whatever they used to do and watch how quick that hits the world.”
Pitbull also said collaborating with Marc Anthony, Chris Brown T-Pain, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland and Sean Paul on his sixth studio album “Planet Pit” wasn’t something that was planned.
“As far as the collaborations on the album, I wasn’t looking to work with all these folks to be honest with you. This happened kind of on its own. There was a plan, didn’t pan out, but it did in a weird way,” he said. “But the thing is when you line up an album with all this music, you’re looking for people to jump on it, the people hear the music and go, ‘Oh, man, yeah, definitely want to be involved in this, one way or another.’ A lot of folks just sent me music and I think that with “Planet Pit” we did exactly what we wanted to do, which was put together an album full of hits. And I wanted to tap into everybody’s world to create our own.”
While Pitbull is off promoting his album with Enrique Iglesias on a tour around the world, the rapper said he wants to forget about the big production and stick to giving music to the public _ like the rock bands he looked up to.
“As far as massive production, I’m not a big fan of that; I’m a big fan of giving fans the artist, giving them entertainment,” he said. “The music is what drives this, drives the public and drives the show. But I guarantee you go to a show and you’ll leave going, “Whoa. How does he stay up there an hour and a half doing that?” I’m still an old-school believer of the artist and the band bringing the music to the public.”
Nine days after Maria Shriver filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former television journalist has bought a $10 million mansion in an exclusive neighborhood in Brentwood, California, reports TMZ.
The 11,000 square feet home, which is not too far from where O.J. Simpson lived, is undergoing a complete makeover.
According to pictures obtained by TMZ from inside the vacant mansion, the palatial pad has eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a three-car garage, gym, theater and wine room
But the pictures of dust-filled rooms, and empty pool and unfinished carpentry leave a lot to be desired.
The complete renovation is expected to be done in three months.
According to the divorce petition, Shriver cited “irreconcilable differences” as her reason for ending the 25-year marriage.
She is asking for joint custody of their minor children, Patrick, 17, and 13-year-old Christopher.
The filing comes months after the former California governor and one-time action star revealed he had fathered a child out of wedlock with a member of his household staff years ago.
On the heels of her dismissal from X Factor, Fox has asked Cheryl Cole to come back to the US to complete more filming for the show. Reports, however, say that Cole is not interested.
Cole was fired from the show in June, but had already participated in four audition shows. The show, which is set to air in September, will still air these episodes.
Part of Cole’s deal with Fox includes returning to the show to complete filming before scenes involving her replacement, Nicole Scherzinger.
A source says, “She made no secret of the fact that she does not want to go- and agreed only because TV channel Fox bosses gave her no option.”
Cole was recently seen as the American Embassy to get her visa. Another source says that Cole “left it until the last possible day to collect her visa because she didn’t want to spotted.”
Elizabeth Smart, who was ripped from her family in 2002 by a polygamous street preacher when she was just 14 years old, will be a contributor for ABC News.
An ABC spokeswoman said Thursday the Brigham Young University music student, now age 23, will report for the news organization on stories that involve missing persons and child abduction cases, reports Entertainment Weekly.
“She’ll help our viewers better understand missing person stories from someone with the perspective to know what a family experiences when a loved one goes missing,” ABC spokeswoman Julie Townsend said in an e-mail. “Her contributions will be focused on looking ahead, not looking back at her own story.”
It is reported that Smart will contribute to such programs as “Good Morning America” and “Nightline,” and could begin work as soon as next week.
Townsend added that Smart will appear “when there are missing children or missing-person cases in the news.”
Smart was kidnapped from her parents’ Salt Lake City, UT, home in the middle of the night and was reportedly raped on a near-daily basis over a nine-month period.
A biker, who had watched her story on “America’s Most Wanted,” spotted the teen 18 miles from her home in Sandy with Brian David Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee.
Mitchell has been sentenced to life in prison, while Barzee is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence.
It is yet unknown if whether Smart will relocate to New York City from Utah.
Britney Spears is being sued by a licensing company for breach of contract and the company is demanding that a judge order Spears to be deposed. Brad Sense is suing Spears and her father Jamie Spears for allegedly stopping payment of royalties from Spears’ successful Elizabeth Arden fragrance line.
“Brand Sense intends to seek immediate relief from the probate court’s order. The notion that Britney Spears is mentally or emotionally unfit to testify under oath is a sham,” a court document on the matter states.
“Ms. Spears currently has the mental, emotional and physical capacity to endure the strain of a months-long international concert tour, make numerous public appearances, engage in interviews with the media, participate in numerous promotional campaigns for her various business enterprises, and maintain custody of her children,” the document continues.
The deal with Arden was licensed by Brad Sense and the company is seeking $10 million dollars in damages.
A hearing has been set for July 11th to see if Britney will be ordered to be deposed.
In what could be the worst idea in a history of bad ideas, Charlie Sheen has signed up for a Comedy Central Roast and told the network absolutely nothing is off limits.
For the kind of skewering that’s more recently been saved for the likes of Donald Trump, Joan Rivers and David Hasselhoff, Charlie Sheen is officially set to be the next roastee in a new special, the network announced Tuesday.
“The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen,” taping on Saturday, Sept. 10, in Los Angeles, will feature the nation’s top comedians taking aim at the major headline-making star.
“You could say I’ve been providing kindling for this Roast for a while,” said Charlie Sheen. “It’s time to light it up. It’s going to be epic.”
“Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us,” said Comedy Central original programming head Kent Alterman.
The only thing scarier would have been if they tried to pass off his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” as a stand-up comedy special.

Justin Bieber took to Macy’s Herald Square to release his female perfume line to a frenzy of adolescent screams and voices singing Bieber’s hits.
Macy’s executive may be just as excited as the female fans who adore Bieber.
“This is going to be the biggest launch we’ve ever had,” Muriel Gonzalez, Macy’s executive vice president and general merchandise manager of cosmetics said in a statement.
Gonzalez pointed out that the social media component has helped revive the celebrity fragrance category.
Bieber tweeted to his fans to meet him at Macy’s.
Bieber has said that he has no plans to release a male fragrance because he is more interested in how girls smell.
“Guys are the people smelling the perfume on the girls. It’s not the other girls, so I think that’s the smarter thing,” Bieber said in a statement.
Bieber’s debut perfume line is called “Someday.”
Kim Kardashian is not wasting any time getting started with wedding plans. And she’s not depending on any old designer to help her with a dress.
Kim and sister Kourtney took to the streets of New York City on Monday in search for Kim’s dream dress. The two headed to the Vera Wang boutique.
While Kim has not released many details about her upcoming nuptials, a Vera Wang gown seems very likely. Kim’s sister Khloe wore a dress designed by Wang for her own wedding day.
Kim, who is recently engaged to Kris Humphries, is currently planning a wedding fort this year.
