‘Rio’ And ‘Sucker Punch’ Hold Their Star-Studded Premieres In Today’s Tweet Dreams

Jesse Eisenberg
This week, the cast of the upcoming animated flick “Rio” held the world premiere for their movie in—wouldn’t ya know—Rio de Janeiro! Jesse Eisenberg (who voices the main character Blu) and his co-stars headed down to Brazil for all the colorful fun, including Will.i.am. who snapped pictures with his “Rio” pal Anne Hathaway (pictured) and shared with followers, “Me and ann hathaway in rio…she sings the fabulous by the way.” But they weren’t the only ones enjoying themselves, as Jamie Foxx, who also lends his voice to the movie, previously posted, “I’m canceling my life…. I’m in Brazil to stay…..”
Meanwhile, back in La La Land, the ladies of “Sucker Punch” held their premiere on Wednesday night. Everyone from Emily Browning to Vanessa Hudgens walked the red carpet, and it seems Zack Snyder’s dreamy caper is already getting raves. “Juno” writer and all-around kick-butt chick herself Diablo Cody checked out the film and gave her own unique thoughts on it from her Twitter, “Saw the amazing “Sucker Punch” last night. I have officially retitled it “Holly Madison vs. the World.”
Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy cast in “The Dark Knight Rises”

Anne Hathaway
Pre-production is beginning on the third and reportedly final Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” and the cast list continues to rise as well. Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy are officially joining the upcoming highly-anticipated sequel. Move over, Michelle Pfieffer and Halle Berry. Hathaway is set to step into the shoes Selina Kyle, better known as the alter-ego to the character of Catwoman. We won’t know for sure if she’s going claws out for the role. There’s no mention of Catwoman in the press release (but they might be playing their cards close to the chest like they did with Aaron Eckhart’s Harvey Dent/Two-Face for “The Dark Knight”). “Inception” star Tom Hardy, who’s been rumored to be joining the cast as a villain for months now, is playing Bane. He had originally been reported to be playing Hugo Strange. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” Christoper Nolan said. “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies,” Nolan added.Nolan, who also helmed “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight,” will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan. “The Dark Knight Rises” is set to hit theaters on July 20, 2012.

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes to skip Oscars because of Anne Hathaway. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are reportedly skipping the Oscar Awards ceremony to avoid Anne Hathaway. The Hollywood A-list star and his former “Dawson’s Creek” actress wife were said to be still reeling over Anne’s Katie impression on “Saturday Night Live” in November.
Anne will definitely attend the 83rd Academy Awards because she will be hosting the ceremony alongside James Franco on February 27. And since she will be there, TomKat opted to skip the event.Katie was said to be upset with Anne after the slightly younger actress mimicked her in a sketch during the show. The couple often gets ridiculed online already, but they didn’t expect it to come from a friend. A source told the Daily mail, “Tom and Katie don’t want to cross paths with Anne. They used to be friends and took Anne to a Tina Turner concert in 2008 when Anne split up from her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.” “Katie feels they were really supportive at a difficult time so she feels let down that Anne took to national TV to make fun of her.” “Anne didn’t even warn her it was going to be on TV.”The source added, “The whole thing has left a sour taste with Tom.” Tom’s spokesman declines to reveal whether he will be attending the star-studded event, saying it’s “too early to confirm – it depends on shoot schedules.”
