Rapper Kid Cudi has been arrested for felony criminal mischief

Rapper Kid Cudi has been arrested for felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance on Friday. He allegedly took a woman’s phone, slammed it to the ground, and ripped her apartment door off. Cops arrived at the apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and found a glass bottle of a controlled substance, our source  reported. The 24-year-old protégé of Kanye West is currently awaiting arraignment by a judge.  He was still able to perform at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee on Saturday. Last year, Kid Cudi – whose real name is Scott Mescudi – escaped charges from a fan he punched in the face at one of his shows. He apparently became upset when a wallet was thrown onstage and tossed it back to the crowd, according to MTV. Concertgoer Michael Sharpe caught the wallet but threw it back because it wasn’t his. Cudi became upset and punched him repeatedly. Sharpe declined to press charges.
