Madonna And Son David
Madonna And Son David Visit His Former Orphanage In Malawi. When your mother is one of the highest ranking celebrities in the world, it’s only natural that you get to enjoy the best red carpet treatment, too, even if you’re not old enough to start preschool. Reports say superstar Madonna and her adopted son David together have recently visited the young boy’s native country of Malawi and the orphanage he once lived in. When they arrived, many excited natives were heard chanting “Welcome home, David!” as well as “We love you, David!” The Material mom and her 4-year-old son took a pit stop at the orphanage during their week-long stay in the central African country. Lucy Chipeta, who heads the orphanage, was reportedly eager to have the young boy visit his previous home so as to not break his “emotional attachment” to the area. Chipeta tells the BBC: “David spent most of his first days on earth here. We are delighted to have him back.” “We have preserved his room, including his crib,” she adds. Meanwhile, it has not been reported if David met with his biological father, Yohane Banda, during the trip. In addition to her charitable efforts around the country, Madonna also funds six different orphanages in the country through her Raising Malawi charity. She also has plans to open an all-girls school outside of the country’s capital of Lilongwe.
