Lindsay Lohan believes she can “help people” by acting.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress insists she can improve the lives of her fans by playing characters who are giving and thoughtful. She said: “I love to act and write and be creative and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it.” The 22-year-old star – who is currently dating DJ Samantha Ronson and has completed three stints in rehab – added she has now overcome her demons and is determined to move on with her life. Lindsay plans to use her past experiences to help others, adding she hopes to start her own charity and build a solid career in the creative industries. She added to E!: “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs and I don’t lie. My past is my past and it’s been a long one, but I’m growing more and learning more day by day. I’m not the same person and I don’t make the same mistakes. “I’ve been through a lot in my life. I’d like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies, shows and videos, design clothes, make music and write books.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay and Samantha have been overheard having a row about Lindsay’s alleged infidelity. A locksmith was called to their home on Monday night (23.03.09) to release the actress from the bathroom, after Samantha told photographers Lindsay had accidentally locked herself in. However, witnesses say they could hear Lindsay crying and screaming: “I never cheated on you!” A source told gossip website x17online: “It sounded like Lindsay was going crazy in there – like a toddler throwing a tempter tantrum. We’ve heard them fight before, but they’ve never had to call someone to the house like this!” Samantha left their home 30 minutes later for her DJ set at Hollywood’s One Sunset restaurant but Lindsay stayed behind.
