Joan Cusack Joins Showtime’s “Shameless”. Showtime’s new one-hour drama series “Shameless” has added another all-star actor to its’ cast. Actress Joan Cusack will be joining the new series that will premiere on Showtime in January.
The series is from Emmy Award winners John Wells and Paul Abbott and is based on the long-running hit U.K. series. The new show already boasts stars such as Emmy Award- winner William H. Macy, starring as Frank Gallagher and actress Emmy Rossum, who will play his daughter. Macy plays a far-from-stellar working-class patriarch of an unconventional Chicago brood of six motley kids whose eldest daughter (Rossum) keeps the home afloat while he’s out drinking and carousing. Cusack will be joining the series as Sheila, an agoraphobic Chicago housewife with a sexually active teenage daughter who strikes up a special friendship with Gallagher’s daughter. “Shameless” will premiere on Sunday, January 9th at 9:00 pm ET on Showtime.
