Ex-Teen Star Leif Garrett Charged With Drug Possession. Former teen star Leif Garrett has been charged with heroin possession a week after he was arrested in Los Angeles. The 48-year-old actor/singer is currently free on bail.  Officers approached Garrett at an underground station when they saw him “shaking and sweating” on the platform.  He initially denied having any drugs on his body, but he allegedly later admitted to having a black tar heroin in his shoe.  He was previously arrested for drug possession in 2006. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and three years of probation. He has had other drug-related arrests in the past.
