DIY Network To Offer Third Annual Toilet Bowl Programming Marathon During Super Bowl Sunday
College football has the Rose Bowl, the Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl and a whole slew of others. Likewise, the National Football League has January 31’s Pro Bowl and more immediately, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts in the upcoming Super Bowl XLIV. Joining the ranks of these prestigious bowls is the DIY Network’s annual entry, which may not have as flattering a name but offers a full day’s worth of entertainment. The Do It Yourself Network’s third annual Toilet Bowl offers a day-long block of programming for viewers of the home improvement cable channel. Airing on February 7, Super Bowl Sunday, TV audiences can start the day as early as 7 a.m. ET with content from the DIY Network. And after pre-game content and the game’s kickoff, they can switch from the gridiron to the network’s marathon viewing of bathroom repairs and tips from experts. The programming block begins with shows such as “10 Killer Bathrooms” and “BATHtastic” before leading up to the featured special at 9 p.m. “America’s Ugliest Bathrooms” highlights the best in bad taste for the room household room containing the bathtub, shower and toilet. The viewer’s choices for these selections show how the favorite eyesores have been changed into fashionable, functional bathrooms. Voting for the best in the field of ugly bathrooms began on January 22 on DIYNetwork.com. Viewers can vote for their favorites in the Top 10 through February 4.
