Hussein Chalayan Creates Faux Butt Cracks a Plunging Dress for Fall 2009

Hussein Chalayan turned heads with his Fall 2009 show with one particular dress design. Following on the “ass crack” trend created by a particular pair of Alexander McQueen jeans, Chalayan designed a dress featuring a fabric crack. Chalayan, a conceptual designer, created the dress as a comment regarding the current crack revealing creations. The short glittery dress features a skin toned fabric layer with an ass crack imprint on the rear. After stars like Heidi Klum were seen wearing crack revealing designs, Chalayan created the dress to both mock and join the trend, according to Trend de la Creme. A design for the trendy but modest, the Chalayan dress is a humorous take on an odd design.
