Arctic Monkeys Will Not Perform At Glastonbury
Arctic Monkeys Will Not Perform At Glastonbury. Indie band Arctic Monkeys have revealed that they will not playing Glastonbury Festival until they have completed their new record. The group has been working on their fourth record and has said they “wouldn’t want to blow it” and would be “back after we’d done an album and do it properly.” The Sheffield act won best live act at the NME Awards on Wednesday and will play at London’s Royal Albert Hall as a part of Roger Daltrey’s Teenage Cancer Trust charity series on March 27th, then tour around America throughout April. Drummer, Matt Helders, said the band’s diary is all about, “Detox. Then America, and then after that I think we’re quite eager to record some more. It’s exciting to be in the studio, we had a lot of fun last time, so it’s kinda the bit that we enjoy the most.” Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures frontman Josh Homme helped the band with their last album, “Humbug.” When asked whether the band would work with Homme again, Helders replied : “I don’t know. He might be a repeat offender. He promised he’d call, but he’s a busy man. We had a great time. We’d love to work with him again in some capacity. It depends. When we’re ready to record again, he might be as well, but you know what he’s like, he’s a very busy man and in demand.”
